Hi everyone. I was just wondering if my mother could come along with me to the interview to keep me company in line while waiting for the Consulate to open?

Also, can she come into the building with me and just wait with me in the waiting room while I am in the interview?

Due to waiting room size, the large volume of applicants and the time required to screen consular clients, other accompanying persons cannot be admitted to the waiting room. Drivers, friends, and extra relatives must wait outside or return to meet the applicant after the interview has been completed - with the exception of applicants with children.

DAMN! Thanks Krikit. I guess my mom will just have to come with me and wait in line and then head off to the Tim Horton's to wait. I hate doing that to her but those are the rules so what can you do. At least she can hold my cell phone. LOL

If you do bring your USC fiance, make sure they bring their US passport for admittance!
