I see it differently. A country should give me a reason to love it, to want to be part of it. All I see is people holding on to misguided values and ideals. People who treat supporting a country like some sort of sporting team.

You know the biggest difference I see between Aus to the US or even UK, when Australian's travel to either of these countries to work, they usually work hard build up a bit of cash and then leave back home. Whereas nearly every Britt or American I have met who has moved to Australia to work has eventually migrated there and furthermore become a citizen and now lives there; with their family. Why do you guys think this is? I'll tell you why, because the country has given them a reason to not only want to live there but to love it.

You will never find an Australian who wants someone to love a country because that is what you do. Instead they earn your love. So when I see people's first and only response to constructive criticism being you hate America, that is when I realize this country is never going to improve. China will overtake you and you guys will still be arguing the 2nd amendment. Best example Detroit and the shitty cars they make.
