worried about interview

Happy News: I called the NVC yesterday and was informed we have an interview in Montreal on August 21st!!! My husband will be moving into the states on the 26th.:dance:

My concern: I am a full time graduate student in NYC and have been since last fall. I will be completely done in mid December and will move back to WI [hometown]. When my husband enters the country, he is planning on living with my parents in WI until I finish school. It is just too much money to have him move to NYC and I will be moving to WI once school is done anyways. Then, obviously, we will have a place of our own.

Since we technically won't be living together RIGHT AWAY, will this create any problems for us at the interview?? Will they ask any residence questions at the interview?? We have plenty of proof of our ongoing relationship, I just don't want any additional problems at the interview.

Thanks for your help...

Stephanie

I don't know the answer, but would stick with the address you gave on all your forms. Was that your parents' address in WI? Why cloud the issue? He'll only be visiting your parents temporarilly, and you'll only be in NYC temporarilly.

Overwhelming evidence of a relationship will clear this hurdle. Also be prepared for financial questions as a result.

From what I've seen here, I'm pretty sure the interview will be ok.

Is there any way he could stay in Canada from the time of the interview until you return to WI? That would erase all doubt. He also has six months to activate the visa.

Thanks for the comments, thoughts, and encouragement regarding this confusing situation.

We will definitely have lots of proof regarding our relationship.

Gerard, in answer to your question, yes, I assume my husband could stay in Canada until I make the move back to WI, but we were really just wanting him to immigrate in, get settled, find a job, etc all before I move back. So, I guess I'm just hoping that they don't answer too many questions regarding this subject at the interview. Like you said, I'm pretty sure the interview will go okay.

Thanks again guys!
