So Glad to here you are ok Jess. Hang in there, hopefully they can get him back with you. I talked to the embassy today and they told me to have Mustapha go down to the embassy with all his paperwork. Inshallah something good will happen tomorrow. Hang in there, the waiting is hard, but everything will be ok.

Jess, I've not been able to get online to post but from reading this I am so happy you have made it out and I pray you arrive home safely soon. Will keep you in my prayers and that you may be reunited with your husband in the shortest of time.

and when i told them they asked me where we lived there and i told them that and they are like 'why did you leave its so safe there'

Jess, the more I think about it, the more it bothers me that someone would make you second-guess your decision. You were scared, the bombing wasn't that far from you, there are no designated safe places there now, and you don't owe anyone an explanation for taking care of yourself. If it was so safe there, thats where they would go for safety and not even take their kids on some 2+ day chaos tour. You struggled enough with decisions lately and you were very brave to undertake this trip on your own. Keep staying strong and don't let anyone tell you that you should do anything differently.

Keep safe

Jess, I've been thinking of you every day. I'm glad to know you made it out safe, but it's terrible you had to leave George behind. Stay safe, and have a safe trip back here.

I really strongly agree with this. Jess, never second-guess yourself. Only YOU knew what was right for you and you honored that. THAT deserves 100000000000000000% respect. Just know we're pulling for you.
