okay so basically i have called everyone and their brother today and got the run around. i was given this number and that number by different places. finally i called customs and border protection in maryland and the lady gave me the number of the cbp at the baltimore airport......i called him and spoke with him, he told me that if he can get on the ship and get on the plane and get to the poe in maryland they would decide there about the parole, he also said if they deny it he will go in front of a judge and be given a chance to plead his case, he also said that if they decide to 'deport' him where would they send him..im like yea no kidding. he told me that we have to try our best to get on a plane headed for him and that when he got to the poe we will see what will happen. i am pretty sure if he gets to the poe they will allow him to plead his case and ill be pleadin for him...and possibly even let him file for assylum. i am praying that we are allowed on that ship and plane. we are trying to get some lebanese currency converted so george will be able to pay for his fees because we arent expecting the us govt to pay for him.................i think tomorrow we will be headed to the port, wish us luck and continue to pray. i hope this works, but it seems like if i can get him to the usa we can do something based on this emergancy situation. Inshallah!

i hope everything works out well for you in the above.

anything new going on there in the way of the conflict? i'd imagine the shortages of the basics like food and water are getting worse.

Israeli officials have said that Israel will make an effort to allow food and medicine into the country. Still, they managed to bomb the aid convoy sent by the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday.

The latest info you got about asylum seems rather positive. Prayers with you Jessngeorges -- stay safe, insha'allah -- hoping to hear some good news from your end.

well happy fricken birthday jess.........no good news to report. actually the worst news of my life...................the consular was so rude and hurtful to me. she told me flat out she couldnt and wouldnt assist my husband because he is a criminal and she didnt need to hear a story she looked at the law.........then she said that he'd be lucky to come back to america in 99yrs. i am crushed. my heart hurts so bad. george is still insisting i go, he tells me he will be alright.......his family is trying to get him a visa to Saudi for awhile, i just wish i knew how sure they are they can get it..............i have lost all my faith ive ever had today. i dont know what to do..............i guess my fight for this is over for now. i will try and do something when i get to ny, i will file the normal way for the humanitarian parole and see what will happen. in the mean time i just hope he gets to a safe country. he is so insistant that i go. he is taking me to the port at 6am and i am planning to return here on Nov 5 that is if lebanon is still here and i am able to get here...............now all i can hope is he and i can stay in contact. i cant breathe. this is my life i am walking away from tomorrow.

Jess, I understand how you feel. You will be re-united with George soon.

I am so grateful for the time we have spent together over the last 11 days. You are one special lady. I will be praying for you as you finally evacuate from Lebanon.

as always,

be safe and bye for now

Jess,

I'm really feeling your pain. I want to share my Moh's words with you. He said these times of hardship are tests to see what we are really made. And yes they can be DAMNED painful. Trust that what you're doing is what's best and that there is a better option down the road that you just can't see right now, in the thick of it, for you and Georges and your future together. The greatest love seems to come at the greatest sacrifices and these forge the deepest bonds. Trust in what you have.

You will be safe. You will give your son the comfort he needs knowing his momma is ok and with him again. You will free up Georges to do what he needs to do quickly to be safe. You obviously know how the international thing just bogs things down. If he can get to any other place, not only will he be safe but he will be strenghtening his case for the future. You know he loves you and distance and time can never change that.

I don't know the specifics regarding his immigration situation from the past, but I would bet dimes to donuts the woman you spoke to at the consulate was equally frazzled from all this. This is probably her worst nightmare too trying to deal with all these terrified people. I wouldn't put too much stock in what she said to you regarding the future. Just put that away to pursue at a later date.

My separation from Mohammed was not planned either and was equally hasty. It was also equally necessary. It's been hell. We're reshaping our future dream (to an even better one). It's taking time and a lot of pain, but now we both see it was a blessing in disguise.

Know we are all here for you, we are all standing beside you, and we are all praying for you. Trust that what is meant to be will be... you just have to keep in motion. (F)
