Although hubby and I are together now in the States, we were separated for nearly 3 years.

First meeting 3 weeks in 2006

After 4 months....2nd trip for 2 months 2006-2007

One month later......3rd trip for 5 weeks March-April 2007

10 1/2 long months and back again for 3 weeks Feb-March 2008

After 8 1/2 long months VISA approved and back in baby's arms

Long distance relationships are so difficult.

Had to take my honey to the airport this morning :( He is coming back in 21 days [21 days USA - 10 days Germany - 21 days USA - 10 days Germany, thats how often we see each other]

I know 21 days are not very long, but I am so sad, missing him like crazy. I still have his smell on my skin, reminds my every second on how much we are missing out on...I wish he was here.

Well, he will spend 2-3 months in Germany this coming winter..I should try to be a little more optimisitc...it is just so hard.

3.57hours til he is in Chicago...3.57hours til I can tell him I love him more than anything..

I wish I could just go to him and apply for a visa in the US...thats the way Germany does it...it is just not fair that we all are forced to live without the one we love for such a long time, is it?

oh well, all the complaining is not gonna help...i just hope i will be back home in a year...:(

Usually about three times a week.....on Skype.

Just yesterday we spent about five hours on Skype, included another walk about the yard tour with me holding the laptop with built-in webcam and connection to the house WiFi and later playing with the little one via the screen.

So we "see" each other quite often.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

We were thinking about doing that and we still are thinking about doing it.

The problem is that if he stayed in Germany he could not sponsor me since he would not be having a job in the US..

Okay, I guess...well.

He owns his own business...if he would spend x weeks a year he could make what is required to sponsor me. We are just afraid that that could cause probelms (not making xdollars every months, but making ydollars in the summertime and then spending the rest of the year in Germany)

How did you sponsor him without making any money in the US?
