Hey everybody!!

We received our NOA2 in the mail last week. We are very excited but I have a question. On the letter, it mentioned I have until December before it expires. Does that mean I have until December to book an interview at the consulate? Also, if and once my fiance is approved for the visa, she has 6 months to come into the States and get married, correct? If you guys could answer these questions, I would be appreciative. Thank you!

So what you are saying is they will book the appointment and send the dates to be interviewed to my fiance? For some reason, I thought it was up to us to reach out to the consulate and schedule an appointment.

How long after you receive your NOA2 do they expect you to come in for your interview?

You are scheduled for an interview about 2-6 months after you send back Packet 3, which should come in the mail to your fiance in the next couple of weeks. Once you send back Packet 3, you are then logged into their 'system' and are effectively put on a list for a date.

They schedule all the interviews, and it can be a bit of a wait if they are backlogged (which they usually are).

They automatically extend the NOA2 expiry date if they don't schedule you an interview in time, so that date is pretty much moot.

Removing Conditions

Sent package to VSC - 8/12/11

NOA1 - 8/16/11

Biometrics - 9/14/11
