How do we know when to call the Embassy for an interview schedule?

Hi peeps. Am addressing this post to K3/K4 Manila filers.

I know this may sound like a dumb Q, but how do we know when to call the USEM for an interview schedule? Our case has already been forwarded by the NVC to the USEM last September 4, so we expect the USEM to receive our file sometime this week.

Will they write the Petitioner (via e-mail) or will they mail me anything? Is there any action the USEM will request from either of us before we are notified that we can set the appointment for the interview?

Hope you can shed some light on this situation. Thanks in advance!

Hello VJ'ers from the Philippines.

Please, if any of the K3/K4 filers can respond to this, I would be grateful. We just got our NOA2 hardcopies in the mail, and now I am not sure what to expect next.

Who will contact me, if ever...is it the NVC or the US Embassy Manila? Do they write or call?

I'm kinda lost as to when I can start calling the US Embassy to make an appointment. The NVC has already forwarded our file to them (NVC Sent it to USEM on 09-04-2009).

You need to wait for the NVC letter to be sent to the petitioner.

It will have your Manila Case number..and as soon as you have that case number, the petitioner can call that toll number 1888 thingy to schedule an appointment.

Hope this helps...

good luck!
