Speeding up I131

I wanted to know if anyone had been to their local office (with an infopass appt) to try and speed up their AP, that they filed at the Chicago Lockbox?? My receipt is dated Nov 22nd - and I am nearly at 90 days, and really want to go home to England on March 7th. My dad is not in great health, but not at death's door (so no chance of a doctor's letter). Does anyone know if they will be willing to help me expedite without proof of an emergency and if they will how quickly this can occur. Would be grateful to hear of anyone's experiences. Thank you.

ps My local office is Phoenix

claire,

The local office can be of no help with getting the NBC to expedite your I-131. It's the NBC's job, your application is in their queue, and it will be processed in due course as it should be.

In emergency circumstances the local office could issue an AP at their own discretion, but that is something different from interfering with the NBC's processing of the application.
