ok...it's not that i'm excited about the ds-230, i just want to prepare all the documents needed so that i can send it overnight when they asked for it. here's my list:

1. barcoded cover sheet (once my husband paid the IV bill and the status online says PAID)

2. My own cover sheet of the documents

3. Original birth certificate

4. Authenticated Marriage certificate

5. NBI Clearance (US immigration purpose)

6. DS-230 form (part 1 signed by me)

7. photocopy of my passport

8. 4 passport sized (2in x 2in 5x5 cm) photos

9. Police certificate from Dubai, UAE

I'm satisfied with my package. I just have an issue about my Dubai PCC . It's valid only for 3 months and it's already expired on September 7, 2009. But I've never been back there since the issuance of that PCC and it was actually requested more than 1 year since I left that country. So, do you think this will cause us delay or RFE'd us? Can I include an explanation that I was never out of my country since January 2008 so there's no need to re-apply for new PCC..??? This is the only thing that bothers me right now. Any suggestions/ideas will be appreciated.

Thanks a lot,

Beth

I think you should put the exact address... so no more question and no RFE's. What I did to my ds230, I put the complete address where I lived.

give as much information as you can. because you don't want the adjudicator wonder what had happen if there are year gaps in your biographic information. Be detailed but no discrepancies on all forms. If the space is not enough on the forms, write it in an extra paper. On the upper left portion of the paper, Write your NVC #, beneficiary's DOB.

key: DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING.

Soo glad I found this thread.. count me in! I'm still waiting for my NVC number, been calling everyday but no luck yet. I am trying to fill out DS230 so I can send documents to my hubby since my friend is going to US this weekend. I can use the DS230 from the website right? no need for barcode?

Please help me I'm confused. I'm a nurse, a local RN but still waiting for my NCLEX ATT (Authorization to Test).

1. question #32- In what occupation do you intend to work in the United States? --I answered Nursing. Is that ok even if I'm not licensed yet (NCLEX passer)?

2. question #40e- " An alien who seeks to enter for the purpose of performing skilled or unskilled labor who has not been certified by the

Secretary of Labor; who is a graduate of a foreign medical school seeking to perform medical services who has not

passed the NBME exam or its equivalent; or who is a health care worker seeking to perform such work without a

certificate from the CGFNS or from an equivalent approved independent credentialing organization.--- This is the confusing part. I must answer NO, for me to be eligible right? but isn't that contradicting?

Hi philmae83, as far as I know if your husband will pay the fee online is ok as long as he will get the money at the bank in U.S. because there is a note that the money your husband will use to pay for the fees at NVC will come to the U.S. soil. And your husband should be in the U.S. while sending the papers at NVC. Wait till he comes back in U.S.
