Changing address

Hello,

My fiance and I are waiting to hear from the embassy in Manila - we have made it through NVC and USCIS. She has not had the medical or interview yet, but that should be very soon.

The problem is that I will be moving in a couple of weeks, not far from my current residence. I was wondering does anyone know what the process is for me to change my address with the embassy? Is it necessary? Will it cause any delay?

Has anyone else had experience with this?

As the petitioner - at this stage - there is no reason to do a change of address.

Make sure your fiance puts the new address on the paperwork that she sends back to the embassy (some of it will ask about you). I would suggest calling the NVC to update your address with them, so their records match. The rest of the paperwork from the embassy will mostly go to your fiance though, not you.
