Big TEA Party in D.C. on Sat.

I Got an email from a local "tea party" group in my area which mentioned the WASHINGTON DC Tea Party this Sat and they floated the idea of a chartered bus if there'd be enough interest.

This morning there was another email saying the are working on filling a second bus ($55 a head mind you).

Also my bud From PA called and wanted to meet-up at the tea-party.

I don't think I will make it but there is another more local one we will ago to (My wife is amazed and loves this stuff).

Is anyone else aware of them or planing to go?

Sorry I don't know of any great links related to the topic (maybe you do?).

But if you google your city and the word TEA PARTY, you might find local info.

My Dad goes to these stupid Conservative tea parties. I guess I just don't understand the sudden concern by the GOP.

There was little concern for government spending over the past 8 years so long as the funds were spent blowing up foreigners, right?

If you're going to protest government spending-- at least be principled. I mean why else stand out in the rain looking like a bunch of fools?

Matt you make some very valid points.

But keep in mind; Your chief concerns are not theirs so while it might be stupid for you... is logical for your Dad.

It could also be some people recognize that we are left with working within the two party system.

It might be more logical to semi-reform one party and have some success...

rather than stick to your purist Guns and accomplish nothing.

A third party might be interesting but the diversity of third parties out there guarantees their lack of success.
