HI!!!!

i got a letter requesting evidence from 2 years! but we only have a year and 6 months! i have pictures....do u think that would be a problem if we havent meet 2 years back?

No, no problem. As long as you have the evidence that you have a sincere relationship and that you've met in person 'within' the last 2 years would be a good thing too, not that it had to have been 2 years ago. :) I know...it is sometimes confusing. :) Good Luck to you.

I think they only need evidence of a relationship within the last 2 years. Can anyone back me up on that?

Unless you post something differently - I'll assume they are requesting evidence that you have met your fiance IN PERSON withing the past two years.

Now, how do you do that?

  • Depends on how you met.
  • What did you send originally?

(If you like - please post the exact wording of the RFE - the portion(s) checked off asking for evidence.)

OK - so you sent no evidence of meeting.

This is a major deal (or deal breaker).

Evidence of meeting in person (within the past two years) may include things like:

  • Passport Entry/Exit Stamps
  • Boarding Passes (from air travel)
  • Hotel/Car Rental Receipts
  • Etc. Etc.

Photos are OK, but you need evidence such as some of the above to satisfy the requirement.

Also see Documentary Proof of Having Met in Person in the Past Two Years and an Ongoing Relationship in the K-1 Guide for more ideas/information.

I don't mean to offend, but I think it's clear you didn't understand the requirements when you filed, and that you don't understand what they're asking for in the letter. If you don't understand what they are asking for, then your description of their request isn't going to be helpful to us, and we won't be able to offer useful advice.

Can you please post the EXACT words they used in the letter?
