if people want to read the guides then fine, but if they dont i dont see a problem with just answering them.

if ur out driving around and u get lost and stop and ask for directions....should the person tell you, go read a map and come back if u still dont get it.

if u go to the pharmacy and ask about your medication ....should the pharmacist say, go read the pill book and come back and ask me you question.

this is why i feel it is so rude to answer a person with .....read the guides and come back when ur done.

It's not rude at all. We're here to help people have a successful visa journey. Not just reading but carefully studying both the guides and the applicable form instructions is critical to that success. We actually do them a disservice by answering questions from people who have neglected to read the textbook BECAUSE we may deprive them of absolutely critical knowledge they would never think to ask about WITHOUT reading the guides. I'm not bothered by the questions. I'm bothered by the idea, somebody will have problems that could have been avoided by studying the guides.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
