AOS Interview Wednesday September 9

Our interview is Wednesday, ear Norfolk, Virginia, 8 hours from home. I am hoping we are prepared for it. Here is what we are bringing with us.

Our passports and birth certificates, with her I-94 and K3 visa.

Two proofs of joint bank accounts from different banks.

Rental agreement in both our names.

Electric bill in both our names.

A huge photo album documenting everything from when we first met to the present (today).

Letters we wrote when still apart.

Airline ticket info and payment from when I went there.

A complete copy of our I-130 packet.

A complete copy of our I-129F packet.

Copy of the shot records and the surgeon who did it for us, USCIS approved (sent to USCIS when first applied for AOS).

Copy of our financial liability stuff, including pay stubs to present, IRS form, W-2s (sent to USCIS when first applied for AOS).

Marriage certificate.

All NOAs we received to date.

Biometrics stamped letter.

Her Driver's Learner's Permit.

Our debit cards for our joint accounts.

Advance parole approval.

EAD (Employment Authorization Document).

Anything else needed?

Looks good to me! :thumbs:

Only other thing that I can suggest is a letter from a friend or family member?!

Good Luck! (and long drives suck! We have to drive 4 hours for ours in a couple week)

AOS Short Version:

06/26/09 - Mailed package to Chicago Lockbox!

07/07/09 - NOA's Arrive for AP, AOS & EAD [dated 07/01/09]

07/17/09 - Biometrics Completed [ Completed in 17 Days ]

08/12/09 - EAD APPROVED! Card Ordered! [Approved in 47 Days]

08/20/09 - Interview notice arrived dated 08/18/09 - Sept 24th/09

08/21/09 - Got EAD Card in the mail!! :D

09/24/09 - Interview Date: 9:00am - APPROVED

10/03/09 -Received GC!!!!!

Total Days from NOA1 to Approval : 86 Days

ROC:

04/01/11 - Preparing for ROC currently

06/27/11 - ROC Mailed!

07/02/11 - NOA1 Arrived [dated 06/30/11]

07/13/11 - Biometrics letter arrived [08/01/11]

10/31/11 - Final Approval!

11/04/11 - Received new card today.

Total Days from NOA1 to Approval: 125 Days

Next Step will be citizenship in June 2012!

Congrats!! I would also suggest a bank statement to go with the debit cards. :thumbs:

Naturalization

3/23/14 - N400 package sent to Phoenix

3/27/14 - N400 package delivered

4/3/14 - NOA1 receipt date

4/4/14 - check cashed

04/29/14 - biometrics date

07/01/14 - interview date

xx/xx/xx - Oath Ceremony

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

Thanks, yall. I now have a couple copies of bank statements with both our names on them, copies of money transfers by Western Union and cards and letters she kept I didnt know she had (including a letter I had started at work to her when she was here, but never finished, which I didnt know she had). Also the document that shows she never was married. Didnt include the Western Unions she received in her married name but signed for in her maiden name..... Didnt want immigration to have any reason to question that. Also a letter I asked my charge nurse to write, who has known me from the time I first met my wife online and then met her in person too. Didnt have time to get it notarized, but she put her name, date of birth, SSN, place of birth and phone number and address on it.
