That aside, what you're dishing out here is just more of your 19th century nostalgia that has no practical relevance in the 21st century. None whatsoever.

Please substantiate; What worked 100 years ago couldn't possibly work now.... because?

Because society and the economy is far more complex today than it was then. Because the interdependencies of national economies across the globe are stonger today than they were then. Because we evolved.

Did we have aviation regulations and controls in the 1900's? No because we didn't have air traffic.

Did we have nuclear waste disposal or nuclear proliferation concerns 100 years ago? Not exactly. Does that mean we don't have those concerns today or shouldn't have them? I don't think so.

What about traffic enforcement 100 years ago? Not so much. Should we just get rid of it today since they didn't need it then?

Or look at it this way: Did the Neanderthals have a Sheriff or a jail? They functioned without those and yet, 100 years ago there they were - both the Sheriff and the jail.

It's called evolution, Matt. I know that you'd like to get back to the stone ages. There are places where you can have that. But there you won't be able to post on the internetz.

Then why is Obama still using Keynesian economics - an outdated theory based on the ideas of an early 20th-century economist?

I'm afraid you'll have to ask Obama. I am not one of his economic advisers.
