Hello,

I was wondering if its better to get the medical done prior to scheduling the embassy interview? My fiance lives in Cebu and I was wondering if it would be better for her to make two trips or is it better to just try to do it all in one week?

Anyone have advice?

Thanks,

I think you will get more feedback from your fellow K1 filers. :)

However, I strongly believe that its a lot better if you do an early medical since it eases your girl's feelings,

Morever, if there's something wrong, You still have time to do the necessary medical procedure for that.

Hi!

They usually require medical one week before the interview. My daughter will have her k2 interview on Oct 1 and I plan to have her medical one week before.

Good luck!

Have her do the medical ASAP. Sooner the better in case something like the 8 week sputum test is required.

I had my wife do St. Lukes 1 1/2 months early.

You only need the NOA2 approval letter and MNL number. No need interview appointment letter.

Best to go after noon about 1.

She can fly in from Cebu and go right to St. Lukes.

Lotus Garden Hotel is five minute walk away and clean, safe and reasonable.

!! ALL PAU!

Do not do it so early that it expires before your interview. For turkey the medical exam report expires in 3 months, I am currently suffering because of this. This was the one thing we were missing and may be why we were put on AP (administrative processing) which can take 6 months. You should do it after you get your embassy interview date, that is when they specified for me to take the medical exam. The interview date letter should give you ample time to go get the medical exam.

Also note, if she has to take certain shots for Mumps or other tihngs, these are harmful if she is pregnant or you plan on making a baby... plan accordingly.
