After waiting and wondering why my EAD haven't arrived yet. Finally, I got the answer today. What a great gift for labor day to know that my EAD will be delayed. :crying: Well, it is my fault coz i mischecked everything. But my RFE letter says that I just need to sign the application form (which they attached) and then send it back to them. So my question now is, how long will it usually take for them to process it after an RFE?

The delay should be minimal - in all likelihood, had you not gotten the RFE, your EAD would have been approved. Most RFE's add a week or two to the wait (depending on how long it takes to respond back to them). It won't be long.

Thank you so much. I will send it to them on Tues since it's still holiday on Monday i think. I hope everything will be ok.

I believe if you read carefully, that is a REJECTION, not an RFE. Typically when a form is not signed they reject it (that is why they sent the form back, with an RFE your case is processing, with a rejection it is non-existant) A Rejection means you have been kicked out entirely and your case process will resume when they get the signed form, which means "to the end of the line" with you! It is possible, and not unusual really, for someone to get their green card first (my wife did and she did not get a rejection on the EAD)

Even if the EAd was filed with an AOS it is now as if the EAD was never filed. It will NOT affect your I-485 AOS. Typically you receive a "receipt" fpr each application. I am guessing, correct me if I am wrong, you received a receipt for the I-485 and the other says "rejection notice"

But how did you get the EAD stamp in your passport upon arrival to the POE?

Im sorry but i didnt understand what ur trying to say. But I will not believe you until I received another notice from them after I send them back the form. And the letter and form stated it correctly that I just forgot to sign my form and I needed to sign it and return it so that the processing will continue. And it is an honest mistake, which is i dont think will be a ground for denial. And if they will deny it, it doesn't matter to me anymore. I will just wait for my GC!!!!!!!!! And what receipt are u talking about? I did received my receipt before but there was no rejection so what are you talking about? and what are your proofs to tell me that this is a rejection? Did you ever experience the same thing?

Well, I dont know either how I got it but the officer was so nice to me. Actually I just saw it after I got home. I saw that I have red EAD stamp that is valid until May 2010. I already posted a thread regarding that before and it seems like i can't use it for work so I decided not to use it anymore. It's better to be safe than sorry. That's why I applied for an EAD along with my AOS which I had an honest mistake for forgetting to sign it which is I really don't know how the heck it happened. Well, It happened already. And the only thing that I should do now is for me to send it back to them and see what will happen.

Did you get back your entire case, including your check? If so, then your application for an EAD has been rejected.

No, i only received two papers my application form and the yellow paper that says i needed to complete the form I-765 that they attached so they can continue the processing of my application. And the instruction is to sign the form I-765 that was attached and return to our office within 80 days. That was just it. No receipt, no rejection word on the yellow form. So do u think it's possible that my case will be rejected?

I think you just got an RFE and processing of your case will resume as soon as they receive your response.

I really hope it is just an RFE. We'll see what will happen after I send it back tomorrow. Thanks!
