BUMP! This topic could use a revival!

How is everybody doing? Any more interview updates?

I've been checking for embassy reviews and only see one as of late.

I hope everybody is faring well, but I know my post is notoriously difficult. Please post your experiences; good, bad, or indifferent. I'm still at NVC impatiently awaiting a November approval before our stuff heads to Lagos.

All the best!

NVC:

2009-09-11 - NVC received.

2009-12-17 - Case complete e-mail message, sign in failed on website and AVR... YAY!

2009-12-17 - Waiting for an appointment assignment...

2009-12-29 - Interview assigned: February 11, 2010!

2010-01-06 - Case forwarded to consulate.

Consulate:

2010-01-12 - Medical exam part 1 of 2 complete.

2010-01-26 - Medical exam part 2 of 2 complete. Ouchie!

2010-02-11 - Interview results: Administrative Processing 221(g) :-(

2010-04-27 - 2nd interview results: Approved :-)

2010-05-04 - Visa in hand!

2010-05-08 - POE

I think most of the July and August are out of the pipeline but we may want to keep a thread open for general information purposes. One of the brothers has an interview tomorrow trying to come here to take some tests related to schooling as a doctor. I am not holding my breath but it would be nice if he gets through so he could come to the wedding. In fact I think we need a new topic

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

You don't need the interview letter to have your medicals done, download the forms and take them to Kamorass Hospital, they will take your bloodwork, vaccinations and then give you an appointment for the results and physical exams which might be two weeks later. So i will suggest go for the medicals but try emailing the embassy to see if they have set your interview date. Hope this helps.

This is true. My fiance went for his examination at the end of November and they told him to come back 2 weeks later.

Looking forward to a Happy New Year!!!
