No we still dont have a date . We havent heard anything from them at all.

Lagos Embasssy is slow, It takes about 6 to 8 weeks for them to send you an email with your interview date from the time it is sent from the NVC. It will come soon but you may want to start emailing them. I haven't updated my timeline but my interview is in October and I didn't get notification until August 19th...but my case left NVC end of June so as you can see from June 25th to Aug 19th....it was almost 2 months.

Hi. My NOA2 was approved on 6-5-09, but I got lucky enough to get stuck in AP at NVC for about 17 days or so before they sent my file to Lagos. It was sent on 6-24-09. Per DHL tracking it was received by the embassy on 6-29-09. I received a email from the embassy with the interview date on 7-31-09. So it was about a month for me to get my interview date. Maybe they will speed things up so you guys will get a date soon.

we got our NOA2 Sep 1st so i dont think it will get to nigeria till the end of september. We hope they give us a nov date for the interview but if anything happen before then, i will update my timeline.

I sent an email to the lagos consulate last week asking if they have received my packet since when i tracked it on DHL website, I saw it was sent out by NVC on August 26th and received in lagos on August 31st but they emailed me back after giving sending me countless FAQ responses that they do not have my record on their files yet, i called DOS this morning, spoke to a very nice lady who called NVC to find out when my packet was sent to Lagos only to tell me it was sent electronically on August 26th and mailed out same day so my question will not be does the DHL mail take 2 weeks to get to Lagos or do they just have alot of paperwork to process which might be the reason my case number is not on their records yet? I hope we all get our interview dates soon and favor and success all the way.

Yes, it usually takes a month before they say that they have recieved your physical case. Personally I think it's a bunch a bull especially when we have proof that it was delivered by DHL on a certain date and then they continue to tell you that they don't have it. I got really frustrated one time and emailed them and said "I know my package was delivered, it was sigend off by_______" .....lol.... of course they didn't comment on that but sent the regular they haven't recieved it yet email.

wow this is really sad. Are you saying US embassy in Nigeria are the ones that will schedule the interview date? I called NVC yesterday, and they said i should call back on the 22 of sept.

In my email to them I indicated the name of the person who signed for my package but they still sent me the regular they haven't received it yet. One thing I do believe is that God has never created anyone He cannot handle and He is in control of this situation, no matter what they do I refuse to let them get to me. I have waited this long and I believe my/our joys will be full sooner than later. Hang in there guys!!!!

I just signed up with VisaJourney and see that our timelines match up close.....I'm guessing October for our interviews?? We recieved an email notification 8/13/09 from Lagos that our information has been uploaded in their system and the interview notification will be sent.....we will see!
