Whether or not they have heard about the campaigns, there are few people anymore that have not at least heard of someone they know that died of AIDS or Hepatitis.

I must be in the minority because I don't personally know anyone that died from AIDs.

There are men out there actively looking to get HIV/AIDS from other men.

The Rolling Stone article was from 2003. It reminded me of people who want to become amputees.

I would be that's a big minority you are in, I don't know anyone either who died from aids.

While I have not looked at numbers I would imagine Hepatitus is not confined in such limited groups.

Seems I have known two people with that one a needle user the other caught it in a hospital.

Because you're assuming a great many things perhaps. It might be tough for you to understand it... but unprotected sex in hetero couple usually goes the non-####### route. And vaginal sex is less likely to lead to HIV transmission, although it is still highly unrecommended without protection in polygamous couples.

Because you're assuming a great many things perhaps. It might be tough for you to understand it... but unprotected sex in hetero couple usually goes the non-####### route. And vaginal sex is less likely to lead to HIV transmission, although it is still highly unrecommended without protection in polygamous couples.

I think we all understand the additional opportunities for infection which come from ####### sex, but still we have been told over and over about how all of us are at such great risk.

In fact the risk is so great they take the resources and spend them as much in hetro rich environments as the do among Homosexuals.... which doesn't make sense ... given what you said.

Now as someone brought up the Africa angle.... Hal why is Africa perhaps the only place where Aids has truly has made leap into the hetro world in large numbers?

Have you read any speculations or finding on that?

Safe sex education and condom availability is not too common there.

The problem with arguing resource allocation to sexually dimorphic populations is that infection does not happen to groups of people- it happens to individuals that comprise those populations and each instance of infection carries with it a certain probabilistic chance that goes from high to very high depending on the physical interaction.

Actually, yes, only sinners have AIDS. Everyone is a sinner, so anyone who has AIDS (or any other malady) is a sinner. Having AIDS, though, doen't make one any more of a sinner than someone who doesn't have it.
