Hello everyone,

I'm just curious as to who might be petitioning someone from Franch with the I129-F K-1 fiancee visa. I'm petitioning my wife and she is from France. We sent our papers in June and received NOA1 days later. We haven't heard or gotten anything else since then.

Would it be a good idea to call USCIS and ask about it? Should I just keep waiting? I noticed that in their sight that the new time frame is now only 5 months long. We're coming up on three months now. I'm hoping we get something soon in the mail.

I would gladly appreciate all of your response.

Very respectfully,

Victor

First, not sure why your topic is in the Philippines forum?

Second, don't stress. Everyone's case is different. Mine was approved after 3.5 months. It depends on the Service Center you're going through and what not. I also suspect it depends on your country of origin as well, but let's leave that for another discussion.

I suggest you do try to call USCIS to calm your nerves but otherwise, don't be alarmed you haven't gotten an approval yet.

Be patient, it will come.

Regards,

Enraptured

Hi pinoyactor.

Are you Filipino? What is your status in the U.S., are you a LPR or a citizen?

It would be helpful to the other members you are seeking advice from if you posted your Immigration Timeline. YOu can click on the link underneath the VJ Banner, it is in between Processing Times and Embassy Info.

Depending on your circumstances and your timeline, then we can be able to offer some answers.

Oh, didn't know this was a specific forum. I'm not very savy with this VJ website. I'll just keep my patience I supposed.

Yes, I am a Pinoy and a citizen and in the military. Just starting to miss my fiancee that's all. Here's my time line thus far.

June 18, 2009 Sent I-129F Package

June 23, 2009 USCIS in Vermont Service Center Received I-129F

June 24, 2009 Check Cashed

So really its been 2 months and 9 days then...well I suppose that is close to 3 months, anyway give it a bit more time the 5 month it mentions is what it is, an estimate.

No reason to waste your time calling USCIS they will only tell you its only been 2 months and 9 days call back in 4 months.

Have patience.
