DO NOT SIGN THAT I-864 AND TURN IN! YOU DO YOU ARE SCREWED! YOU WILL BE LOCKED IN TO SUPPORT THIS PERSON NO MATTER WHAT FOR until she obtains 40 working quarters(10 yrs or so) or until she dies or leaves the USA permanently. Basically you are on the hook, and the US government will enforce this and divorce courts do uphold this document you sign and it can be used against you, so DO NOT SEND IT IN, smart guy, take the RFE and call USCIS and cancel this filing now for 2 yr GC!

Why didn't you send in the I-864 with the AOS packet? You do realize USCIS will RFE you for that, right? Why aren't you going through with the paperwork so she can at least get a job LEGALLY and provide for the child you have together? Yeah, I think you need to seek counsel...but I also hope she does too.
