It means that your preliminary process is complete. Basically they have accepted the RFE and have done the initial work on the petition. Now what the initial work is I dont have any idea. could be something as simple as getting your info into the computer.

I am still hoping that next week is our week for the first "wave" of RFE's. Lets see what happens!

I am thinking that you might be a week early. I think the 3rd phase of RFE ppl will get the touches next week and then the week after you ppl will get something.

Be nice to see my approval by the end of the month :)

Same deal here. Got email they received our RFE and touched today! At least it is SOMETHING! :whistle:

August 28/06 Left NVC. . . Vancouver Bound!

September 27/06 Interview APPROVED, with visa in hand

October 29/06 Moving Date

January 16/07 Sent out AOS, EAD, and AP docs

January 23/07 NOA1's for AOS, EAD and AP

February 13/07 Biometrics in Portland, OR

April 7/07 EAD and AP Received

April 24/07 Interview Scheduled . . . and APPROVED, stamp and all!

May 7/07 Greencard is in my hands!

ROC Journey:

February 17/09 Sent I-751 to CSC

February 18/09 NOA1

March 14/09 Biometrics appt.

April 22/09 Date of Approval!!

June 25/09 Greencard arrives in the mail!

So much for my big theory of a Friday gift from CSC....No NOA-2's sent out.

At least some people are being touched though, that is good.

i feel kinda stupid but what does being "touched" mean? do you get something in the mail?

Sept 28 2006 returned completed form I-797

Oct 4 2006 touched

Nov 1 2006 visa denied due to lack of visitation proof

When you look at your portifolio and the date is updated, it means you were "touched". You don't get any e-mail.

Summer of '04 - Started Talking to Leila on Yahoo Messenger

3/23/06 - Went to Cebu, Philippines to meet Leila & see her graduate. Also proposed during my trip.

4/30/06 - Leila left the Philippines to go back with her dad in Tokyo, Japan.

5/01/06 - Sent I-129F to CSC

5/09/06 - NOA1

7/29/06 - In Tokyo with my beautiful fiance!!

7/31/06 - NOA2 Approved while in Tokyo!!!!

8/06/06 - Just got home from Tokyo... Goodbyes are so hard :(

8/07/06 - NVC Recieves case

8/11/06 - NVC Sends case to Tokyo

8/17/06 - Embassy in Tokyo sends Packet 3 to Leila but she was in Atami

8/22/06 - Leila calls embassy and they tell her what she needs to mail in

8/23/06 - Send Packet 3

11/3/06 - Recieved Packet 4 (took longer than usual because my fiance is not a Japanese citizen so her

paperwork had to be verified with Korea... very irritating)

11/7/06 - Medical Exam

11/20/06 - Interview!!!

1/12/07 - Arrival in US

2/14/07 - Wedding
