The Annoying Co-Worker Thread

I started this thread in the Canadian Forum, and it was fun, but not enough people posting in there for it to be truly hilarious.

We've all got co-workers or boss' that are aggrivating, annoying, and just plain stupid. Here's a chance to vent about them, and potentially help others deal with awful colleagues. I'll start it off with a story about a woman I work with. Her name is Theresa and she is a fuqtard. Let me premise this story with a bit of background. Theresa is a crazy cat lady in training (only has 4 at present). She thinks garfield and family circle are the funniest comics in the newspaper, and saw Garfield The Movie (live action) 3 times at the theatre and owns the DVD. Now, that you know she's sufficiently crazy, i'll begin with her annoying work habits. I think worst of all is that she spends all day NOT doing her job. She kisses all the supervisor's a$$es, and volunteers to help everyone in the building. She will then sneak back into the building at 10 p.m. to do her job that she neglected all afternoon. Usually, it takes people about 3 months to figure out that she is not super-employee, but crazy. Another horrible habit is that she will listen to instrumental music during her lunch break. This in itself would be OK, but she quite enjoys making up lyrics to go with the music. Usually it's jibberish, like she's attempting to sing skat. She's just craaaaaaaaaaaaaazazazy.

Oh man, I'm on this. I have a guy that I work with, nicest guy, and he's funny and all but damn, HE NEVER PUTS ANYTHING BACK WHERE HE GOT IT. This drives me up the wall. Whenever I go to get something, he's gotten to it before me and put it somewhere completely different. Why is putting something back where you got it from such a hard concept to grasp for some people? Why do I have to be the one that gets an angry call from my boss when he's looking for something that I haven't touched for six months? Do I kill him now and what do I do with the body? HUH?!

Oh dear god we have a few of them here. The response I got when I questioned one person was "Huh, why does it matter that much anyways? You found it right?" :girlwerewolf2xn:

It's called workplace revenge. This particular person is a very very liberal (politcally) person. So I signed her up for a number of NRA and gun related newsletters. It's the gift that keeps on giving each month. She has tried to have her name removed from the list, then I simply go to their website and resubmit the request to be added

Not anyone in particular but I get irritated by noises (incessant talking, loud sneezing, other people's music). I've got headphones which help block out other noises, but I've noticed that I've become increasingly agitated over the years.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Yep, that's me, too. Or snapping gum, that's a good one. :|

My ex-boss cheated me out of $34k in on call and call back pay and one of my co-workers $22k so he could look good to the execs and then they pass him over for the big promotion. Now he does nothing all day but gets paid $134k a year and the only reason he is in the position he is in is because of my team and our performance supporting the enterprise application for our business the last 20 years. Grrrrrrr

Sounds fairly typical of a middle manager when they get passed over for the big time and come to the realization taht they have hit their personal ceiling.

I don't have any annoying coworkers...hmmm...does that mean, I might be the *gasp* annoying one? :o

Uh-oh. :o Do you make loud noises?

I might! :o

But no one can hear me, I have my own office. :jest:

It's weird, I worked in an open plan office before and I really miss that. Now I have my own office and it's big too, around 5x5 meters and I feel terribly lonely. I miss having somone to chat to.

Oh dear god I remember the open plans. They were fun when I was 23 working for a dot com who was overpaying people. We did nothing all day but design counterstrike maps to mimic our office and play video games. Ahhhhh the good old days. Now i'm glad I have an office. When people annoy the sh!t out of me, I can just close the door
