So..Is your friend presently in another relationship? I'm assuming she wants to stay here since you asked if she could stay here legally without adjusting status. Just curious.

IT'S NOT THE DESTINATION ITS THE JOURNEY...AND WHAT A JOURNEY IT HAS BEEN

see you other thread about this situation.

There are laws to protect her from him and also preserve her ability to immigrate as a victim of domestic violence by her petitioner. she needs to see an immigration lawyer.

she can't just go accusing. the police had better been called or else it is her word against his and given the situation (what she wants to preserve) I'd take his word without strong evidence that he is abusive.

i really get tired of the poor little helpless immigrant line... if he is abusive, get on an airplane!

Are you lying?

In another thread you said: "They dont file AOS yet , but she has a other man who loves her and want to take care of her .. " and yet you claim that she has no other man since she got married?

Maybe we are taking the OPs statement about being treated like a slave girl and getting spanked wrong. Are we dealing with a little Bondage play behind the bedroom door ? It would be much harder to call the police and report that.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I have noticed the OP has been asked this question before and others have alluded to it in their posts but the OP refuses to answer it. It would make one think that the OP is the "friend" or she and her "friend" are scam artists. THINK being the operative word...I am in no way accusing.

i just have noticed that some people here posts a thread asking help/seeking advice regarding "divorce" for their so called "friends"...aren't they (the "OP and the FRIEND") are the same person? im just curious! coz cmon, yes they are friends but do you really think he/she will spend her/his time doing this for a friend? in addition it seems to me that the OP knows well about the "friend's situation's details huh? ain't that strange? or it may just really happened that they are indeed 'friends".

anyway, am just thinking out loud! :star:
