Hey Family, Got my interview date today - October 8th 7am  We are very excited. The email confirmed the case has been forwarded to the Nairobi Consulate and all correspondence to be forwarded to the consulate. There was a section detailing the interview requirements: passport, medicals, any original docs not received by nvc & photos. Been going thru the VJ site and it seems most questions are standard. Hope the October Interviewees will stick together and update on their experiences and lets support each other.

Cheers

Hey people, I bet like me you are all busy getting ready for the interview. I got my meds done yesterday. The panel of doctors was changed and even though i had psyched myself to see one doctor who had gotten great reviews in the Africa- Subsahara Kenyan thread, the doc i got to see was super nice and heres how that went: After paying for the medicals Kes. 14,691 (approximately USD 183) I got the blood and urine done, then went for the chest xray followed by giving the nurse my basic info (weight, height, BP, eye check) The medical forms I got from the Embassy were not used, the nurse had his copy all he did was ask for one of the passport pictures and glued it on his copy. Finally got to see the doc and had the physical done (didnt expect to strip down  ) Was asked abt all the vaccines i've received from childhood, i didn't have to produce my medical history file. She explained the urine test is for pregnancy, and the blood work is for Hiv and syphillis. She'd already gotten the urine results and said they were negative and asked if i expect my blood work to be "ok" , I told her i did and she said everything looks great then she said i only needed 2 vaccines  MMR & Duluxa. I will pick the results later today as adviced by the nurse. . Thats it!!! It took all of 7hours, mainly because of disorganization.

For Nairobi Medicals: The beneficary needs two pics, their passport, and extra cash coz it depends on the number of vaccines the doc decides you need.

The Medicals are done at:

Got my interview tomorrow morning, a little bit nervous. I checked all my docs and it seems like i have everything in order. I am thinking of taking one of our photo albums, so they see that our marriage is not fake. Hoping for the best!!!
