I wanted to set the record straight about something due to another member being very concerned about some of you all.

I posted something in my "day in the life of Amal" thread that is really bothering this other member so if you don't mind, I wanna clear it up asap so nobody gets hurt.

#1. Amal is NOT God nor does she ever have the ability to tell anybody what to do in the name of God.

#2. Amal is NOT a licensed professional, a celebrity, or a prophet of God so please do not follow in my footsteps with the thinking that what I'm doing is the only way to handle a situation.

#3. Amal is NOT perfect and DOES have the ability to make mistakes in making judgments so just because she chose to use "70 excuses" as an example to show that she is trying to show compassion and tolerance (to a point) towards her spouse DOES NOT MEAN that this is something that any other woman should do in the event of abuse in her relationship.

#4. Abuse is NOT a cultural thing ALTHOUGH it is something that many of these men grew up seeing as "normal" so they don't realize that it is not ok to treat ppl in this country like that. Abuse is abuse no matter who is doing it and no matter where it's coming from. I am being abused by my husband and I am making the choice to give him the chance to try to do better because I know that leaving without giving him that chance (with obvious signs that he's really trying) I'll never forgive myself.

#5 Just because Amal chooses to give her husband a chance DOES NOT mean that any of you should say "amal did it this way so that's what I'm going to do"...because I'm not perfect (as afore mentioned). Only God is infallable so follow him before you decide to follow any human. ESPECIALLY Amal.

That's all for now.....until more things are brought to my attention.

Amal dont let anyone make you feel bad about your choices. Your son is not being physical harmed..and Unless anyone is a licensed professional or has walked 15 miles in your shoes well they have no right to pass judgment on you..

Everyone threw a fit when I wanted to marry my husband it was one war after another and how he will do this and that and he will treat you bad...Weve been married for over two years now and been together for over 5 and we have the happiest marriage in the family that everyone passed judgment on...Everyone has their 2 cents and its ok to comment but please...Dont judge and act hollier then thou on anyone!!!

Amal *hugs*

I hate to hear about people trying to make their points. Amal...you know you are a good person and you know what is best for you and your child. Don't let whomever get to you ok? As long as you are safe and your little one is safe and you know how to control the situation then you do what you want to do. The rest of us are here to not judge you...throw the other garbage over your shoulder.

I said something similar in your previous thread and I'm agreeing with this now.

Im sorry that something happened to make you post this. I dont know you very well Amal, but what I have seen is that you are a very caring, supportive and patient person.

I see many women in this forum who do seem to know you well and they love you and have genuine care for you. Hold on to those people and not the ones that are putting you on some guilt trip.

:luv:

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!
