Man, it's starting to be a real bummer about Montreal and the CR1s... they haven't scheduled anyone for an interview for September and there are people waiting from June. It's really frustrating -- has this happened before?

Anyway guys... sorry to rant but our little timeline thread is waaaaaaay back there because no one in Canada (on VJ anyway) doing a CR1 is getting an interview.

Off for a vacation now...

Happy Labour day all!

Our case was completed at NVC on June 24 and we still don't have an appt. for Montreal. Hoping maybe they will get us in for October....

I vote, they are lazy. I could write a very small script to correct their obviously lacking abilities with calendars and schedules.

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."

Yep, our case was completed on June 4th . . . still waiting . . . . I suspect it will be November, as most past interviews seem to have been scheduled 1.5 months ahead of time. I hope I'm wrong.

Wow...I guess this means I'll be able to get my February/March interview after all. If my husband ever puts together his AOS package. Deploymentsuckssucks..

Well, I hope all of you get your interview dates soon! Or the USA should open another CR-1 issue site in Canada.

I just got my NOA2 on August 24. It looks like we'll have to wait 5 months for an interview. Is that what you all think? That means an interview in January or February??? I wanted him home for the holidays. :(

I remember back when I was waiting for my K-1 interview the third week of March came around and nobody had an April interview yet. We were all angry trying to figure out why they would take the entire month of April off. Then, suddenly, a couple days before the month ended Montreal went crazy and handed out tons of interviews! Pretty much all the K-1 people waiting from the end of January, February and beginning to mid-March were given interviews all at the same time. Some people only had 2 weeks to prepare! So don't get yourself down yet, you never know what could happen. This is one heck of a delay though, wow!

Obviously processing times for Montreal really fluctuate...I saw some old post where people complained that it took 4-6 months to get an interview and many of them had their USC SO write their congress-men and -women with inquiries and complaints. Personally, I do not buy this high volume of cases argument...it is not like from day to day they have suddenly noted 200% or 300% increase in workload...it's been very well know for a few years that MTL is in high demand. Why don't they increase capacity? Obviously it is possible, if cases in Philipinnes (and this is one of the busiest consular posts) wait 2-3 days for their interview dates...Canada as a bordering country will always account for a significant portion of US immigration so it is very hard to understand why only one consulate in a whole huge country processes IV cases...it seems like only one consulate in Mexico processes immigration visas as well but for some reason they do not seem to have the same problem with scheduling and interviewing...and imagine the workload they must have.

I wonder why only one single consulate in all of Canada can do CR-1 interviews.

We're a pretty wide country (Land mass wise), you'd think they'd have two consulates doing that kind of stuff.
