Yes".. Please a friend of mine desperate need help, She wants to know what is the Documents that they needed once they married here In the Philippines, His fiance is in the Military and have plan to marry on Sept, 27th here In Philippines. What A USC need to bring and also of course my friend a filipina. Any help is so much appreciated, Thank you guy's... GOD BLESS

Hi ...lovekita....

The USC needs to obtain a certificate of legal capacity to marry at the U.S. Embassy Manila. If he was married previously, he has to obtain a divorce decree. There is a US$ 30 fee that will be paid at the Embassy cashier. The Embassy will only entertain USC's requests for this document between 7am and 10 am daily, Mon to Fri.

Once the USC has the certificate of legal capacity to marry, then they can apply for a marriage license at the local civil registrar's office (LCRO) in the city/town where they are planning to get married.

When they apply for the marriage license, there is a requirement for the LCRO to post their marriage (like wedding banns) for 10 working days before the LCRO can issue the license to them.

The LCRO will not allow representatives of the couple to apply for tha marriage license; they have to do it personally.

04-05-2018: Case status updated - Interview Scheduled on May 10, 2018, 10:15 a.m. :D

05-10-2018: Citizenship Interview - Passed English and Civics Tests, Recommended for Approval! :D 

06-19-2018: Received email and text notification: Naturalization Ceremony Scheduled; waited for letter to be uploaded on online account - it has been set on Wednesday, July 25, 3:00 p.m.

07-25-2018: I am now a U.S. Citizen!

Hi! the USC just need to go to US embassy to get the approval to get married so, he can apply for a marriage license here. and your friend needs to get CENOMAR, BIRTH CERT. you can ask at civil registrar office in your municipal. It is more strict if they will have church wedding. My husband is a retired army officer and we got married here last January.

Oct. 19, 2009 - Log-in FAILED (YEPEE!!!!)

Oct. 20, 2009 - Case COMPLETE!!! (confirmed by the NVC operator)

Oct. 27, 2009 - Interview Date assign(By NVC operator)

Nov. 16-17, 2009 - Medical PASSED

Dec. 04, 2009 - INTERVIEW(APPROVED!!!)

Dec. 08, 2009 - Visa pick-up at the Embassy

Dec. 16, 2009 - CFO

Dec. 19, 2009 - My Flight - POE (JFK New York) via NWA
