Hubby just got a prospective job in another town, 1.5 hrs drive from where we live right now and we haven't found any good places to live. At first we wanted to find an apartment, but sounded like most of them want a 12-month lease while we actually want to buy a house within the first 6 months. Therefore we are thinking about sharing house or condo or whatever with someone that will be willing to accept month-to-month rent.

I want to know if any of you guys have experience on this ? I need to know what needs to be done, what the regular procedures are (e.g. do they require background/credit check and do we need to do the same with them, etc), what we need to be aware of or stay away from, etc. :help::help:

Me- Indonesia & hubby - US

married in Vancouver, Canada

USCIS-free for 10 years !

I'm not a renter but have friends that rent. Normally in any rent contract there is a clause that if you buy a house you will be allowed release from the rental. I would call a couple apartments in the area of interest and question if they have such a clause.

Hope this helps.

Rodney
