Then you're a betting women they won't find you in this thread or care to take it up if it stays open since it's such an old topic. It has nothing to do with me and you really. You're just full of it and they're not afraid to call you on it. I won't say anything or influence it what so ever outside this thread and I'll leave that up to themselves if they care to take it up. However, if they do be warned it has nothing to do with me and the chit you insight towards me.

Olivia, let me put this to you in very simple terms.

I don't give a chit what someone says about me, especially when they run to another website to say it to others, and don't say it to me. This is a public thread, so how I can read them on Expats, they can read me here. So, the word is out now, if it wasn't before. Alert the media! Not everyone cares about being liked by all. I'm one of those. We're pretty thick skinned and carefree about that kind of stuff. What is so difficult to understand about that?

Does she still speak for all Muslims?

Never did, but I do a better job at it than most non-Muslims.

BTW, Olivia. This post is the original topic of this thread. It wasn't about you until you made it about you. It's not about me either, so if you or some of your Expat buds have a problem with me that's bugging them so much that they need to address it, please feel free to start a new thread about me here anytime.

Im wondering if Im the only one who feels a little disappointed in some of the responses that members have been getting on vj. I have been reading vj on a daily basis and have seen people post they're concerns, and questions and those who have denied visas and are heartbroken. We have some people on vj who have been heere for years, some a matter of days and many not experienced in this website and how to gather information and dont know where to begin. I have seen members reply to vj member threads with short crass remarks that have no sympathy for the poster. Statements like "Do better research... etc etc.. we already talked about this subject"... or ppl making remarks becuse the thread has been started in the wrong forum.... and some members being flat out rude. I really dont understand this. I thought vj was here for us. I thought we as members would be here to help each other get through this trying process. So my feeling is that when one person posts something that has been discussed before... 'so what'... lets discuss it again! wth When a member posts something in the wrong place..... just move it where it belongs. wth We all need to remember how stressful this is. How this affects our whole life. So I think we all need to have more empathy and concern for each other. In short... just wondering of some of our members how noticed this. Dont mean any harm by this post... Im just disappointed in some things on vj and wish we could be more understanding of each other.

Well anyways. :lol: My issuse was never with you currently Sofiyya. You've been pretty tame lately and like you said nice to me. That old topic got brought up just like old topics were brought up on me. I think you do have some valid points while at the same time I don't agree to everything you say. To each their own, but just like you people take issue with me and things I've said. For me I see it's unnessecary since I don't go there anymore and should resist temptation to when it's brought up.

Apparently, big girl panties are needed here in MENA as well as the off-topic forum. :P

There's a reason I don't venture into off-topic... :lol::bonk:

Hugs all around for my MENA sisters!

I have noticed it too and you're right. There are some who show no patience where 'and' when it is needed most by the poster. I love this place as I've found some rare angels here, but then there are those who are not so angelic in their responses and I feel the embarrassment of those who just want help and guidance, just as we all do when they receive such remarks.

It 'is' what VJ is here to do. We get enough of feeling bad from this whole process, ie., being made to feel like dumb-dumbs and criminals, so lets love and support each other no matter how many times we've seen the same questions over and over. Give patience like we all need it and have many times ourselves. It is the greatest virtue, isn't it?

Thank you for posting your concern, MouadsWife. It definately needed to be addressed and in precisely 'how' you addressed it, in a loving concerned way and is very much appreciated by many, I'm sure. :)

There's a reason I don't venture into off-topic.

What's wrong with OT? When I first joined VJ, OT was kinder to me than MENA ever thought to be, and to this day I much prefer it. But to each his/her own.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

It was halfway a joke about someone stating recently, in response to Amanda getting attacked in OT, that you need big girl panties to post over there. :lol:

I did read/post there a long while ago but found that I didn't enjoy the posts of a lot of the men who were posting there, and since MENA is mostly women, I just find it easier. :)
