Guys;

I recieved an additional evidence mail on 11/06 requesting last 3 yrs tax record, Letter says dont mail it, bring it with you to the interview which i understand.

FP done on 10/07. still waiting on IL.

Anyone recieved such letter or update, if yes did you get your IL yet ?

If you are marriage-based, this is probably the Yellow Letter people have been talking about. It is the document check list. For marriage-based cases, the tax returns will be on the check list. You should be expecting the interview letter soon.

The document check list I received only listed passports, DL and IL. I am not sure how much more documents I should take with me.

I had my interview today. I passed but they cannot appporove me since I havn't completed 5years as a permanent resident yet. Everything else is fine. Interview took only 20 mins. I will post details of my interwiev experiance later. Now the waiting game is for the Oath :-)

My FP was done at right around the same time as yours, and I received a yellow letter last week (when my status changed to "testing and interview" and the case forwarded to the local office). My letter requests certified documents regarding a DWI-related arrest I had in 2000. Still waiting for the interview letter.

just a quick update on my process. On 11/11/09 I got out of USCIS limbo and was moved to testing and interview. No letter yet, but I noticed my file is being touched every day for the last 3 days. We'll see what happens next.

Here is a little bit more detail about the interview Experiance.

Checked into the San Jose office around 1.30. My interview was at 2.10. I was called in around 2PM.

The officer asked me to raise my right hand and made me take an oath to say the truth. The officer was very polite and jovial. He said he was running late on his appointments so he was really rushing through with my interview. He asked me about my job and marriage. Then he started going over my application line by line. I had one speeding ticket and i had indicated yes for "have you ever been cited". I told him it was paid and taken care of. He did not ask for any proof for it and he changed the answer to No. Next he made me read and write a sentance in English.

Asked 6 civic quenstions.

1) Capital of California

2) Who signs the bill into law

3) What is the supreme law of the land

4) What is an amendment

5) Who did the US fight in WWII

6) Who is the speaker of the House

All corrrect. He said I had passed the interviewe but cannot approve me today because I would complete 5 years of permanent residency only by 9th Dec. He said I should expect the Oath sometime in Dec/Jan. The interview didn't take more than 20 minutes. Overall it was a nice experiance.

Quick question - If one changes jobs between the time the n400 application was submitted & the actual interview with USCIS - does that matter in the interview? Would that be ok?
