Wow, that's great to see all these good news here! Keep up the updates, everyone!... :thumbs:

WaitinginNY-Thanks for the update about you getting your yellow interview letter. Hmmm..I'm curious about such, as I never got such a letter (I only got the N-659 white letter and another I-797c interview letter with details about my interview). In your case, you will probably get a separate interview letter (I-797c) later on, which will state such a date and more about your interview there. On the bright side, at least they are working on your case, and you got the yellow letter about that. Hope you get the interview letter soon too, and yes, keep us updated about that too.

Hi, I just corrected a small error on my entry. Hope I did it correctly.

Thanks for adding me to the list and thanks for helpful advice from fellow applicants.

I still haven't seen any update on my case. It seem the time is frozen on 9/24/09 even though I have done the finger prints on 10/07/09. Still no interview letter....

However, today I got a yellow letter dated on 11/5/09 from Lees Summit informing me to bring my driver's license or photo ID to the interview. I read it from top to bottom and didn't find a date/place for the interview. So I guess this is NOT an interview letter.

Vivekjay-Good idea about a separate column for oath letter dates to be included on the list. Though the problem I see with that is that some people get same day oaths, and/or know of their oath dates right away after the interview, which doesn't make too much of a difference in the timeline dates. In general, from what I've read here on vj from other lists, most people get their oaths done within 2-4 weeks of their interview date, so there's not too long of a wait there. So more likely than not, you'll see updates about the oaths on the list, before there is a need to add another column....

I think it will be informative to have a column for oath letter receive date too?

Great day today! Interview letter came in the mail. No yellow letter, just a white "Interview Document Checklist" that came in the same envelope as the interview letter. One step closer. Good luck to those still waiting.

Lol..for the delay in your fingerprints, I guess they made it up to you in scheduling your interview quickly too. Interesting that you became an LPR on the 17th and your birthday is on the 16th. Hmm...maybe they can give you your oath a day earlier if they do offer such on the 16th. How did you find out that they had an oath on the 16th at your local office? By the way, happy early birthday to you, Onuche. Hope you get a birthday oath...that would be a great present, indeed! Lol..I'm hoping for a birthday oath too, as my birthday is on Dec 8....(wishful thinking though...but you never know...).

Well, what do you know? as posted earlier, i got an email saying my case is being transferred to my local office on Saturday morning and when i got home yesterday, i leisurely went to my mailbox and there was the letter. I was a little surprised because i was expecting it sometime later in the week.

Anyway, my interview is scheduled for Thursday December the 10th and i know there is an oath for Wednesday December the 16th (my birthday) so am keeping my fingers crossed. For what its worth, i became an LPR on December the 17th and i would be an LPR for three yrs on December the 16th, i dont know how thats going to work out, but you never know.....

Kashif-Congratulations about getting the interview e-mail recently. Hope you get the interview letter soon after that, and my guess is that you will get that sometime this week and/or next week in the mail. So be on the lookout for that letter. Hope you get the interview letter soon too, and yes, keep us updated about that too. By the way, if you don't mind me asking, how come you had to reschedule your fingerprints date? And did you have problems when you had to reschedule such?

Actually, My Wife doesn't drive and I was going to be out of country from Oct 15 till Oct 30. We went for walk in on Oct 13th, but they didn't allowed walk in, Instead they offered to reschedule. Which we have to accept :(. But I guess it didn't delay it as it is in queue for Interview one week after FP.

On Small Note for my FP I was able to do the Walk-in earlier than my scheduled. So Seattle DO some times allow Walk-in FP, some times don't.

For all their fault the Houston DO is pretty much consistent, oath ceremonies are always on the third Wednesday's of every month.

Onuche-Congratulations on getting your interview letter and date and white letter. Good luck with your interview coming up on Dec. 10. Lol..for the delay in your fingerprints, I guess they made it up to you in scheduling your interview quickly too. Interesting that you became an LPR on the 17th and your birthday is on the 16th. Hmm...maybe they can give you your oath a day earlier if they do offer such on the 16th. How did you find out that they had an oath on the 16th at your local office? By the way, happy early birthday to you, Onuche. Hope you get a birthday oath...that would be a great present, indeed! Lol..I'm hoping for a birthday oath too, as my birthday is on Dec 8....(wishful thinking though...but you never know...).

Well, what do you know? as posted earlier, i got an email saying my case is being transferred to my local office on Saturday morning and when i got home yesterday, i leisurely went to my mailbox and there was the letter. I was a little surprised because i was expecting it sometime later in the week.

Anyway, my interview is scheduled for Thursday December the 10th and i know there is an oath for Wednesday December the 16th (my birthday) so am keeping my fingers crossed. For what its worth, i became an LPR on December the 17th and i would be an LPR for three yrs on December the 16th, i dont know how thats going to work out, but you never know.....

I have an Question specially to people whose service centre is from Jacksonville, FL. I am a contractor and cannot leave work on weekdays, I want to do a walkin fingerprinting at Tampa, FL on the weekend(saturday) instead of The Jacksonvile, FL centre (This centre is not open on saturdays) will this be allowed?

Also Guys please briefly let us know about your interview process, (Questions, Documents asked etc) this will greatly help.

You may want to put your info in the Nov post. I have never tried to even do walk-in fingerprints in Jacksonville they are really stricted. So, I do not have any comments. As soon as I have my interview I will let you know. Also, there is somebody else in the August post that will have her interview in Jacksonville in a week. I am also waiting to see what she has to say. Good luck

Hi Everyone,

Kashif-Thanks for explaining why you had to reschedule your fingerprints. It doesn't seem fair though, that they wouldn't let you do the walk-in at your local office, before your scheduled date, especially for the fact that you have to drive your wife there and you were out of town for the scheduled date. Oh well, at least your wife got her fingerprints done, so no worries there anymore. Good luck with getting her interview letter soon too.

Actually, My Wife doesn't drive and I was going to be out of country from Oct 15 till Oct 30. We went for walk in on Oct 13th, but they didn't allowed walk in, Instead they offered to reschedule. Which we have to accept :(. But I guess it didn't delay it as it is in queue for Interview one week after FP.

On Small Note for my FP I was able to do the Walk-in earlier than my scheduled. So Seattle DO some times allow Walk-in FP, some times don't.

LinaJ-Congratulations on getting your interview letter and date and white letter. Good luck with your interview coming up on Dec. 10 (cool too, that you have the same interview date at Onuche does...).

Onuche-Lol..despite the past delays for you, it's good to know that they are pretty consistent there in your Houston DO, so you can plan accordingly for that. Too bad other local offices aren't the same way, as everyone else is left guessing for their 'surprise oath' there. lol..

Here's hoping that you get that third Wednesday oath date in December soon too.

Tsrang-Sorry, I don't know specifically about local offices in Florida, but I do know that some local offices let people do walk-ins, and some don't. It ultimately depends on the office as to what they allow/not allow there. For example, in Buffalo, NY I was allowed to do walk-ins (lol.they are not very busy here) for a valid reason, while I heard that in other offices others were not allowed. Nevertheless, if you have valid reason, I think you should try for such, as it certainly helps with the case. As for the interview process..I'm having my interview next week..I'll post a full review/update here on vj about that after I get it done, which should help a lot of VJers here too....Meanwhile, it's back to studying and preparing for me...lol..(feeling nervous still..). And yes, as Maryces21 suggested, you can probably get more help on the Nov 2009 N-400 Applicant message thread, from other applicants who are more closer to your timeline too...

2009 ( 9 Months Baby Wait) "Expected": Baby. It's a Boy, Baby A !!! We Are Family, Ant+D+BabyA !

2009 ( 4 Months) "Moved": New House Constructed and Moved Into.

2009 ( 2 Months N-400 Wait) "Naturalized": US Citizenship, Certificate of Naturalization. Goodbye USCIS!!!!
