Hi Moe1985,

In answer to your question/concern:

-You can apply for citizenship 3 years minus 90 days from the "residence since" permanent residency date (1/21/09) on your green card, not the date of your marriage. For you, this date would be..10/23/2011, and onwards after that to apply for citizenship (based on the 90 days minus 3 years calculations from here):

-For example, for me, I came to the USA and got married in April 2006, but my green card says "residence since" November 2006, and based on this rule the earliest I could have applied for citizenship was August 2009 and onwards and not April.

I got married in Nov,2006 But came to the states 2008 . I received My 10 yrs GC in 01/21/2009, so when i am eligible to apply for the citizenship ? does it count from the date of marriage or the date of becoming a permenant resident.

I am new to this forum but I have learned so much from my experience with USCIS and I beleive I can help others answering some of their questions.

In the mean time, If any one filed around September 20th to Arizona Lock Box and san Francisco is the D.O please let us know if you receive an interview Date or letter.

Hi Hanhan,

Thanks for updating the list with your check date. Hope you get your interview letter soon too! Maybe this week or next week or so? By the way, interesting too, that you did a walk-in fingerprints as well. That defintely speeds up the timeline for you there too (at least from what I know..based on my experiences..)

Updating my check cashed date. I wonder at what point I start to worry that I haven't received my fingerprint notification? Or, like every other step of this whole nightmarish process, I suppose my process will take longer than everyone else's, for who knows what reason.

I had called the mis-information line last week on the 22nd (one month after my NOA1) because i still hadnt heard anything from them regarding my biometrics and they had put in a service request. By the way i was told something about my file not being found and them waiting for it to be brought to thier office from God knows where.

On monday the 26th i got a letter from the USCIS saying am in queue for biometrics, i was like what??? a whole month after filling? and they also stated it might take up to 6o days from the date on the notice to notify me of any changes. I was angry, and went ahead and booked an infopass appointment for this Friday.

This morning i woke up with a text from USCIS saying a notice was mailed on Monday 26th requesting additional evidence (which am assuming would be the biometrics appointment).

I feel someone somewhere forgot my file somewhere and it took the service request to wake him or her from their slumber. Anyway, am waiting to see what the RFE is all about and hopefully its the biometrics ( which i intend to do via walk-in anyway).

So for those who are awaiting one thing or the other, better not wait, just call and put in a service request and see what that does.

Until you hear about something. Hopefully that will be your fingerprints. If it is, You need to do a fingerprints walk-in to make up for the time your file had been lost.

I just received an email saying that my case is in the : " testing and Interview" . I think I shoul be receiving the Interview Letter very soon. Will Keep you updated.

You got that right, though i dont think i would be doing any oath till January because i got my greencard on the 17th of December, meaning i cant possibly have my oath before that date and in Houston, oath ceremonies take place every third Wednesday of the month, which in this case is on the 16th, one day shy of my third year anniversary.

It would be good to at least get the interview out of the way though. Thanks Maryces21

I have read from somewhere that someone's 485 was touched (LUD changed) after FP, and not long after that, he got interview letter. So hopefully, this is a sign of they working on your case and you may get something very soon. Looks like when they review or move the old files when processing N400, sometimes it will trigger the LUD get updated. Keep us posted. I am also at Raleigh DO and have been waiting on interview letter for almost 40 days. There has been no movement on my case at all. I have not even received the yellow letter. Have you got the yellow letter?

I did not get any kind of letters, What is yellow letter stand for?
