Congratulations, way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I still havent gotten my biometrics yet, it seems i might end up being one of those few who wouldnt have to do biometrics again. I was last fingerprinted on December 18th 2008.

Congrats

Guys,

I want to let you know that this morning a 4:00 am I received a text message from USCIS telling me that my case status was updated. So, i woke up, went to the computer, and checked my case status. And then i saw this now:

Testing and Interview

Your case has been transferred to a local office and an interview will be scheduled. You will be sent a notice advising you of the date and time of your interview. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

If your case status indicates that you are currently in this step, you have either been scheduled for an interview or are in line to be scheduled for an interview. The amount of time your application will remain in this step will vary by office and is largely determined by the number of cases ahead of yours. The interview notice will have specifics about time, location and anything you will need to bring to your interview. If your application remains pending beyond our normal processing times (as shown below) please contact our national customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Please note that not every application/applicant will require an interview. In some instances, an interview is required by regulation and others an interview is requested because USCIS has determined that this is the most efficient means to determine eligibility. For a naturalization application the interview will include your taking the required English and/or Civics tests (unless exempt or waived).

I also noticed that this time I did not received a e-mail. So i checked my junk mail and i saw a e-mail from USCIS not CRIS, and this was in this e-mail:

*** DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS E-MAIL ***

The last processing action taken on your case

Receipt Number: NBC*########

Application Type: N400 , APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION

Current Status: This case has been sent for a standard interview.

Your case has been transferred to a local office and an interview will be scheduled. You will be sent a notice advising you of the date and time of your interview. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283. If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision from USCIS within the current processing time listed*, please contact USCIS Customer Service at (800) 375-5283. *Current processing times can be found on the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov under Check My Case Status and Check Processing Times.*** Please do not respond to this e-mail message. Sincerely, The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)

I guess I will receive my interview letter soon!!!!!!!!

Hi Maryces21,

Congratulations on getting notice that they send you an interview letter... (lol..I figured that you'd be the first one to get it, as you have the earliest filing/priority date from us September 2009 N-400 applicants)

Thanks too for post about what the message on CRIS contained and what you got by e-mail too. Now I know what to look out for, when my turn comes around for the e-mail/letter to be sent to me (lol..who knows when that will be..as my last touch was 9/24/09, regarding the biometrics/rfe).

Interesting to know too, that their new moblie text message system works too. Lol..I would have signed up for one of those..except...my cell phone doesn't work, as I have no cell phone reception where I'm living in the country/rural area. Oh well, I'll just check my e-mails and CRIS..and keep on waiting...

Hope you get your letter in the mail soon (maybe in the next few days or so), and yes, do let us all know when your interview will be and update that timeline here as well.

Ant

Hi Onuche,

Hmmm..knowing how the incompentent USCIS operates, more likely than not, you'll have to get your fingerprints again (besides, didn't you pay an extra $80 to get them done...might as well do them again anways...lol..).

But yes, do inquire with them if you don't get a biometrics letter within 30 days of your NOA (as stated on the NOA about getting such within that timeframe). Who knows, you might or might not have to do such...but at least you will know for sure, and not worry about it..

By the way, if you don't mind me asking, why were you fingerprinted as recently as last December? Was it for the I-751, or something else?

Hope you get that biometrics/fingerprints letter soon.

Ant

I still havent gotten my biometrics yet, it seems i might end up being one of those few who wouldnt have to do biometrics again. I was last fingerprinted on December 18th 2008.

Hi Maryces21

Waiting for several months after..you sure about that? Nah, don't think that will happen to you or anyone else here....think you'll all be lucky this time.

And if worse comes to worse, then you can inquire about it with the USCIS if you don't get such in the next few weeks. They sent you an online notice so you should get an interview letter soon, right? If not, then ask for one! After all, you paid for the citizenship process..and that includes the interview...

By the way, did you study for the test yet? Did you get the CD and study booklet at fingerprints/bio too?

I have been reading the questions, going to the website, and doing the self test online. But I think I need to practice with somebody making the questions. I will do that next week. I did not get a booklet or CD they said that they did not have the CD, and that the questions were the same as in the website questionary. I already had it.

Hi Maryces21,

That's great that you're studying for the civics test already. And yes, the online resources certainly do help there. Odd, I wonder why they didn't give you the cd and booklet when you went for your bio? Maybe they just ran out that day? Is there any way you can ask for such now if you want one? As for practicing, maybe you can write out and/or print out the questions for someone to read out loud for you to answer? That could help, as the questions are being asked orally/verbally. Happy studying...

Ant

I have been reading the questions, going to the website, and doing the self test online. But I think I need to practice with somebody making the questions. I will do that next week. I did not get a booklet or CD they said that they did not have the CD, and that the questions were the same as in the website questionary. I already had it.

Ant

I still havent gotten my biometrics yet, it seems i might end up being one of those few who wouldn't have to do biometrics again. I was last fingerprinted on December 18th 2008.

Ant,

No i was caught robbing a bank!!!!!!, wanna see my mug shots too? Ofcourse it was for the I-751, hahahahahahahahahahahahha, what else did you think it might have been?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, lol, LMAO

Got done with my walk in finger printing today at San Jose. My appointment date was on the 20th of Oct. They didn't even ask me why i wanted to take the finger prints early. The center was fairly empty and they just let me in. I had to fill out some forms and then they took my prints. I was in and out of the office in half hour.

Hi Everyone,

Onuche-Lol......I know you didn't rob a bank...Just wasn't sure if you did your fingerprints for the I-751, or some other immigration issue, that's all.

On that note, why did they require your fingerprints and mug shots all over again? Seriously, I'm wondering about this in regards to the USCIS....Why to they make us all immigrants feel like "criminals" for having to do the fingerprints and photos over and over again..We did nothing wrong...Isn't once enough? Oh and then they have the nerve to charge us $80 for each time they do this to us!...Geee.....

Ant,

No i was caught robbing a bank!!!!!!, wanna see my mug shots too? Ofcourse it was for the I-751, hahahahahahahahahahahahha, what else did you think it might have been?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, lol, LMAO

Vivekjay-Congrats about having a successful walk-in fingerprints today... Glad too, that you didn't have any problems when you had such done quickly today. Hope this helps in getting your case processed faster. By the way, did you pick up the citizenship civics test study booklet and audio cd while you were there too?
