Can someone help me on what's the requirement for the co-sponsor?

1. does it have to be your immediate family member?

2. does she/she have to live in your state

3. are they only need the W2 ,,or tax return.

1. does it have to be your immediate family member? No - but certain consulates do not react well to non-family members being co-sponsors (Vietnam may well be one of these.)

2. does she/she have to live in your state No

3. are they only need the W2 ,,or tax return. Tax return and all supporting documents (such as W-2's, 1099's etc.) and supporting documents for employment (pay stubs, letter of employment) and supporting documents for optional fields such as assets.

Basically - the same things a sponsor has to supply - the co-sponsor does.

First, the good news...

A co-sponsor can be any US citizen or LPR. They don't have to be related to you in any way, nor live anywhere near you. If they are submitting W2's then they also need to submit the entire tax return. If they are submitting tax transcripts from the IRS then neither W2's nor tax returns are needed.

Now, the bad news...

The consulate in HCM very rarely accepts a co-sponsor. Cases requiring a co-sponsor are almost always denied.
