Hi guys, first off I apologize again for being so emotionally about it. Sorry for that. I will begin from the first step.

My hubby and I met last year while he was stationed in Germany. (He is active duty in the US Military). We figured out very fast that we are made for each other and since he had to leave Germany in just a couple of months, we made plans.

We decided to marry in January and the day after he left to the US to his new duty station. During the next couple of weeks we were trying to figure out how to get me over there. We decided that i need to visit him there, because he wont get military housing until I show up there...but he wont get a room from the army as well, because he is married. So he was actually forced to live in a hotel. I entered the US in February on the VWP for almost three months. The same day we sent the CR1 off to VSC. We furnished the house and all that while I was there and tried to figure out a way to calculate the time I still need to spent in my homecountry. SInce the K3 processing dates were moving fairly fast we thought in May ...well just a couple more weeks and we will be approved. Yea well..we didnt make the bill with IMBRA. We cancelled my flat and work for the 30th of July, thinking that would be safe. In midJune our I-130 was approved by VSC and sent to NVC. Around the same time I called at BWI airport to talk to a POE officer. I asked if there is a way to enter the US while the immigrant visa is still at NVC and our K3 hasnt been approved yet. And he actually told me the first time that the embassy in my homecountry might be able to do something. Well I didnt quite believe him so I didnt call them till Monday. And there I talked to a really nice lady where I explained our whole case to. She then said dont even worry about the K3 anymore and persue the CR1 case. Did I receive a package from NVC already and I said no...just a case number. And she said well I can try to get your whole case transfered to Frankfurt. And I said, huh? really? And she was like yeah....call back next Monday and maybe your case is already here and I can tell you the next steps. So yesterday I called NVC (still not really believing that) and asked if our AOS fee bill was already cashed and the ladyt on the phone told me to wait. When she came back on the phone she said sorry Mrs but your case will be handled by the foreign consulate now. We wil forward your case to the embassy and I was like wohooo if that is no progress. So now I am waiting on Frankfurt to receive our case.

Anyone made a similiar experience? It is still so weird and hard to believe for me.

Perhaps because your husband is in the U.S. military, your case was expedited.

I am not sure if something quite like that has happened before on this forum. If not, at least we have you as an example just in case there are other people in the U.S. military who are in a similar situation.

Let us know what happens. I posted a response to you in the other thread, which I think might answer your question on what is to come in terms of immigrant visa processing, but really only the Consulate will be able to tell you how to proceed from where you are now since your case is really unique.

Most people don't get to bypass NVC.

Good luck and congrats!
