I just got email from NVC. Just wondering what does this mean?

"IF a sponsor filed an I-864 (Affidavit of Support) AND provided the NVC with

proof of an IRS Federal Income Tax Extension in lieu of a Federal Income Tax

Return, the applicant must bring the sponsor's most recent Federal Income Tax

Return to the visa interview."

does that mean i need my spouse's recent Federal Income Tax Return?

This mean that if your sponsor (i.e your spouse) has not filed tax return and got extension on tax returns by filling IRS Federal Income Tax Extension form, then only you need to bring your spouse most recent tax return.

It means to get off your butte and file your taxes and have copies for the embassy interview. I doubt if you will file soon enuf to get tax transcripts. Worth a try tho as they are more vald than returns.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship
