It is being 7 months since my I-485 was approved (Approved 01/30/09). I already have my 551 stamp on my passport (temporary GD).

This past august 5th, I had my 2nd biometric appointment… it went smooth without any inconvenient. After one month, I am still waiting. I haven’t heard or receive anything in the mail, and my status online still the same as last year.

Does anyone have any clue of what is going on?

Call your senator and get him working on it. I had a similiar situation and my senators immigration specialist solved it right away.

With "nothing" I mean that my status online still the same as October last year (Status online: On October 7, 2008,.....we transferred this case .....You will be sent a notice when the interview is scheduled...etc...). and so far I have not gotten any welcoming letter or any GC production notice.

Well you said you've made a couple of infopass appointments - that is not the same as looking at your status on the USCIS web site. So either you have met with USCIS in person, or you haven't. If you have - they should be able to tell you more than what you see online.

So how do you know it was approved? When asked about the infopass have you gone to the local office to ask about your case??

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

Yes... On March 2009, I went to the local office in Atlanta, GA. The USCIS official told me that I was approved on 01/30/09 and she stamp my passport with a temporary GC. After that, she add, I should get my card eventually (2 months) on the mail.

After waiting.. waiting.. and waiting, I went back for another Infopass to ask about my GC. This time, the official told me that I had to get a new biometric (one finger print and signature). She said that this biometric will the last one and after that my CG should be produce.

On August 5th I went to my Biometric appointment, and like I said, the process was smooth and without any inconvenient. It is being a month since that day and I have not receive any welcoming letter, no GC production notice, and my status still the same as last year.

That makes more sense - thanks for clarifying. I wouldn't worry about the case status (online) - it is not always reliable (as you can see).

For now - I'd say give it some more time - if you don't hear back by perhaps the end of Sept. I'd make another infopass appointment).

Also - is it safe to assume you have not moved during this process? (or if you have, you have completed an AR-11?)

Are you talking about the I-485 or the I-751? You have not filled in your timeline yet, so it's a little hard to figure out your specifics.

Regardless, the info you have been given is good.
