Start with a great meal in San Francisco's Chinatown, a tour of the Museum in Golden Gate Park, a visit to Fisherman's Terminal, and some photos of you guys with the Golden Gate Bridge and downtown San Francisco in the background.

Then head north on Highway 1 along the California coast. The scenery is amazing as you drive along the beach.

Continue driving north on Highway 101 along the Oregon coast into Washington. There are lots of small towns to explore, beautiful beaches to enjoy, and good seafood to eat.

If you are on a budget, there a lots of campgrounds along the beach.

When you get to Seattle, check out Pike Street Market downtown at the foot of Pike Street at First Avenue. Check out the view from the top of the Space Needle and don't forget to tour the Experience Music Project near the Space Needle.

Enjoy!

that is almost exactly wast I was going to suggest..

the northern coast of California and the Oregon coast are both really beautiful

My wife and I took this trip a few weeks ago...and it truly is gorgeous. It's the type of trip that you can spend four days on... or four weeks if you want to.

yeah I have done it a couple times...

the last time my husband and I took about 4 days or so to go from the Canadian Border down to San Fransisco..., we followed the coast once we got into Oregon... wished we could have taken a few more days though... I love the Oregon coast!!

My friend who got married last week is headed down from Vancouver to California via the coastal highway. I can only imagine how beautiful the scenery will be for them. I will have to ask for some pictures when they return at the end of next week! It will be a gorgeous honeymoon thats for sure, but LOTS of driving, all the way back to Saskatchewan!
