So since our ceremonial wedding is only 241 days away (I'm sure I'll have my Visa by then, if not there's a problem) and we're thinking of our honeymoon. We really want to do 1 week in Vegas but are stuck for the second week. It'll be the middle of May...

Do you guys have any ideas? We figured out in the West would be better, because we'll be in Vegas for the 1st week. We also want to go somewhere where we both haven't been yet. Places that are out are: Southern California, Seattle, Arizona in the West anyway.

Thanks!

~Peach

The problem with a cruise is that even tho I'm almost sure I'll have my AP by that time, I don't want to risk it. And Varba gets motion sickness... lol

One day I will go on a cruise... One day...

Lake Tahoe

Grand Canyon (A must see - not too far from Vegas - or could take a helicopter ride from Vegas)

Photos286.jpg

Sedona (beautiful - not too far from Grand Canyon and you can also wind your way through parts of Route 66)

Of course lots to see/do in So. Cal. (Hollywood, Malibu, beaches - Disneyland etc...)

The grand canyon is beautiful, I have lots of pictures from when I went a few years ago! I told my fiance we would rent a copter while we're in Vegas to go see it.

He just told me he's going to call a resort in Washington: http://www.sunmountainlodge.com/index.html It looks nice, but I can't just stay in a room all week, I would go crazy!

I will look into Lake Tahoe.

So. Cal was fun too, but we're going to go there another time. We found a neat safari thing there, but they are closed when we are on our honeymoon, so we're gonna go back another time.

The great state of Georgia is nice in May!

Seriously though, What about the East coast? Maine is beautiful, especially Bar Harbour and Acadia National Park. You could do a little east coast tour and hit Vermont and New Hampshire too

We just thought we'd stay in the West since we'll be in Vegas for the first week. We could always come back to the east, I'm just trying to keep costs down since it seems like some of the people who said they would give us money for our wedding seem to be backing out of that promise.

Yes I vote for Sedona as well. I used to drive there all the time and hike and in fact went there for my honeymoon. Utah does have a lot of parks not too far, there's some definate great drives you can do, though May is starting to push tourist season, so it may end up being a little crowded...

I'm just a wanderer in the desert winds...

Start with a great meal in San Francisco's Chinatown, a tour of the Museum in Golden Gate Park, a visit to Fisherman's Terminal, and some photos of you guys with the Golden Gate Bridge and downtown San Francisco in the background.

Then head north on Highway 1 along the California coast. The scenery is amazing as you drive along the beach.

Continue driving north on Highway 101 along the Oregon coast into Washington. There are lots of small towns to explore, beautiful beaches to enjoy, and good seafood to eat.

If you are on a budget, there a lots of campgrounds along the beach.

When you get to Seattle, check out Pike Street Market downtown at the foot of Pike Street at First Avenue. Check out the view from the top of the Space Needle and don't forget to tour the Experience Music Project near the Space Needle.

Enjoy!
