SEPTEMBER I-130 Filers: Check in right here!!

Hey, I'm new to this site, we got our NOA1 on September 7, it took only a week to come. Not bad! Well I'm from around Chicago so I'm assuming that's why. Hope this process isn't as complicated and long as I fear, it sucks living in limbo! Although it kind of rocks living in Costa Rica....minus the bugs and heat.

OMG - rub it in a little bit more!

Still nothing here, not even cheques cashed. Although I had a lightbulb moment yesterday whilst browsing the camera shop ... and I have read all the posts and read the forms and it did NOT click ... I sent the wrong sized passports photos. What a dumb #######.

Will this matter?? I am redoing them sometime this week when I have the time ... I also read someone who got theirs at ####### Smith for like $4?? Anyone? Or is that just me?? Maybe I should go check out the ####### Smith near here.

Does the NOA1 notice explicitly state what service center the case was assigned to?

I did not see any evidence of it saying 'assigned to VSC'?

Please let me know.

Some where on the lower left side of the NOA1 which service center it came from.

The receipt notice will indicate the code as follows (source - visajourney.com news section)-

EAC for the Vermont Service Center

SRC for the Texas Service Center

LIN for the Nebraska Service Center

WAC for the California Service Center.

So I assume California Service Center (which I hear processes them faster?)

Hello all September I-130 filers =D. Yup, it's the waiting part that really sucks...I just want the waiting to be over so we can all just jump onto NVC!! Looks like roughly 2 more months of waiting here, just glad CSC is processing ours..

still no good news for us

we sent our application via UPS so we used the courier address written on the I130 instructions. the one with an "ATTN:FBAS"

and we did put the complete home address. my husband never had any problem with his snail mails. he received everything i mailed to him in that address. so we really don't know whats goin on with our NOA1 hard copy..

when my husband checked on the bank, they just said that it was cashed out on the 8th of sept..

we dont even know our receipt number..so how then can we checked it online?have no idea..i bet you have your receipt number abbie that's why you were able to checked it online saying it was undeliverable, right?

the only thing that makes me calm and think positive is that the check was cashed out which only means that our I130 package was received and is already in the hands of uscis right?

but still, we need the NOA1!!!huhu

hi jrd. its good news that they already cashed your check. that means they got your file. tell your SO to call the bank and have them scan the back of the cancelled check and then email it to your SO. your NOA1 receipt number should be there. if they routed it to california service center then it should start with WAC and then a 10-digit number.

after finally getting all the paperwork we needed in order, we sent the petition last saturday 9/12/2009. It was delivered on Monday 11th, but haven't heard anything since!! Not too worried, but def keen to get verification that it's all good. My wife paid by money order. Not sure if there's anyway to check that it has been cashed?? I'll have to talk to her tomorrow bout it i guess.

I have heard of people sending countless amounts of evidence with their 130. We sent the basics, lease agreement from aus, joint bank account from aus and marriage certificate. Should be enough... Right? =)

Finally they cashed my check... Looks like it was deposited yesterday but I saw the scan of it tonight...WOOOT

BUT... USCIS website gives me an error when I try to check the status...

I hope I will be able to see it tomorrow.

BTW, Even tho I live in Florida and should be processed by Vermont SC, my case starts with WAC
