K3 is going fast. CSC is on OCT 8th.

should we irc1 filers send in 129f for k3's? or now it doesnt matter?

IMO - for us (HHH and I that is) not really worth it now. Maybe we should have done it as soon as we received NOA1 but the cost involved and the messing around with EAD etc made it moot. Happy to wait. Not happy with not being able to receive an answer to queries relating to our case or to general enquiries regarding the immigration process.

Did I tell y'all that HHH was told we needed to apply for a K1 visa even though we were already married. Luckily, we found this site.

OUR JOURNEY SO FAR: (dd/mm/yyyy)

18/09/09 - CR1 NOA1

16/07/10 - POE LAX (256 days NOA1 to interview)

27/09/10 - Aussie/American bun in the oven due May 10, 2011

06/01/11 - Submitted change of address online to USCIS. Mailed I-865 for sponsor. Neverending!

05/05/11 - Bouncing baby boy arrives

10/07/12 - Sent I-751

13/07/12 - I-751 NOA1

So in September 2009, CSC received 21,000 odd cases. Completed 55,000 cases. And were waiting on about 19,000 people to respond to their cases. Do I understand this correctly?

Can someone with superior graph interpreting skills view it?

Ok Guys, I think I cracked the CSC code: The numbers released by CSC are for close of the month of Sep

Sep Pending = Aug Pending + Sep Receipts - Sep Approvals + (Aug Customer Action - Sep Customer Action)

= 93620+20458-55534 + (9958-19466)

= 49960 (This is close to CSC pending of 51217 as of Sep close)

If CSC maintains the same approval rate of 55534 in Oct, then they can clear all their backlog of 51217. So, there is a good chance of Sep filers cases being approved by end Oct or end Nov. In all probability, our cases are already approved.

The above paragraph could be confusing. If we are already approved by end of Oct/Nov, why are we not informed about it? I can only imagine that CSC batches up the responses to customers. They may not release the approval information ona day-by-day basis. On one fine day all Sep filers will recieve their approval notices (or RFE notices for the not so fortunate ones)

Thanks

My equation was something like dividing the approvals by the receipts x 3 (Oct-Dec downturn) and ended up with 3.9.

I know - I'm a genius in my own mind ...

I agree. It's not the waiting that's difficult -- well, yes, it is -- but it's far more infuriating to have no form of information about where we are in the process. It's the uncertainty, the not-knowing that gets to me. What's wrong with telling us -- "you're now in this stage/we're waiting for a confirmation on this certain aspect/your background check is almost done/your background review is still open/ we're checking your criminal records."

I hate being kept in the dark.

Hmmm right, so its also useless for me too since my NOA1 date is sept 1. dang. in sept i was happy to see 130 approvals flying left and right so at that time 130 looked faster and more cheaper and better option. For me , right now i just want wife and daughter to be here with me asap.

I guess instead of waiting for NOA2 i should plan my trip to my family. this is crazy.

The graph is hard to make sense of because it doesn't say what was approved when. A lot of September RECEIPTS might have been APPROVED in September itself. That'll put off calculations.

Exactly! I feel like I'm in limbo at the moment. Do I get rid of my house? Do I start packing? Do I start selling my stuff? Well, I sold my car but to a friend who will wait (wish he'd pay me now though! LOL). Simple decisions are now complicated. And I'm on a stop shoe buying order. #######? Seriously, that was my comfort now I don't even have that.

Come on now - I'm sticking with mine. 3.9 months and puts us at Jan 10-16 (be a great birthday present for both of us). We're both in that week.

Haha, fine, I'll take the January dates.

Don't judge me, but I have about 60 pairs of shoes. Moving from dorm to dorm in college was a massive pain. Thankfully, The Husband (then boyfriend) was there to lug it all around.

Yeah 3 months, tell me about it. Even some october filers are at NVC while some K1 sept fillers already have their visa. The USCIS name need to be changed to United States Center for Injustice Services. I do not look forward to any surprise from these guys because all they've got is disappointment. It is confirmed they have a lot of lazy employees who wait till last minute to do the job we are paying them to do, otherwise there is no point for the huge discrepancies in processing of applications. Imagine som1 that filed in July without any RFE is still not approved, what do we call that bad luck? I bet not, it is called inefficiency and inequitable like the market justice. It reminded me of my bank who deducted someone else's check from my account twice and left me with nothing, when the banker answered my call she said it usually does not happen to the same person twice (giving me a look) as if it has got anything to do with my luck, whereas the root cause is that one or a few of their staff is not doing his/her job properly.

I will go away for some more time and I have told myself that even if the worst happen, I have a choice to abandon my citizenship and choose to live my hubby foreva, so scr** USCIS and the rest of their bureaucratic brothers zombies!

FYI: My K3 was filed on Sept 3rd and no action, so there is nothing to proof to me that there is any justice in K3 and that they are in Oct. it is the same ineffective and inequitable processing as CR-1.

None of my hard made tears will be shed for USCIS, for being alone I may shed some, but for USCIS, CSC, NVC, EMBASSY and whatever MTFs - nothing. I could care less about a system that has rub inequality in my face even if I am approved today I still don't give a damn about them.

And for lambasting them here, I AM NOT GOING TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT, i do not even have a US birth cert., therefore I can run my mouth all I want. I WILL NOT RUN FOR ANY PUBLIC OFFICE, I am thus allowed to criticize the system that makes me sad and acts disgracefully.

No - if anything, a recently naturalised petitioner may have theirs processed quicker because they've just been through the whole name/background check thing?

'sides my HHH is US born. Not making a difference here.
