Haha. I've been tempted to count backwards as well. But I think it's safe to say they don't process these things in order. I'm guessing they run background checks as they receive cases and once those are completed, NOA2s are mailed out depending on how quickly that went.

Background checks...

well my background check during my naturalization lasted 4 years. I am sure i was cleared when i got my citizenship. and that was like a year ago.

Now this time my back ground check should take normal time?? or is it again 4 years..? i guess no one can tell. but makes me worried.

they know everything about me i went through a check in 2005 for my passport and in 2007 for a security clearance(which i just opted to cancel i changed my mind about working at the airport  ) and i just went through another check with the IRS that took 3 weeks so they know everything they just have not gotten to any of our files yet they have changed priority so we have to wait and pray that they switch gears soon

Hmmmmm

That having been said... I could crank out an "approval" in about 15 minutes depending upon the complexity of the petition.....

so, let us see. On average, an adjudicator has an approx. 8 hour day. Take out 2 hours for lunch, personal breaks and laziness, that leaves 6 hours.

Takes about 15 minutes for an approval, which brings us to 4 approvals an hour per adjudicator.

For the day, it brings their tally to 24 approvals per day.

For the week, it brings their tally to 120 approvals per week

For the month, it brings their tally to 480 approvals per month...

I wonder how many adjudicators there are for the I130.

Based on the figures of USCIS and their processing times, CSC approved approx 45,000 approvals in August, 2009 (which is roughly the same as the 3 months before that as a whole). Using that information, I can assume that there were 1,875 adjudicators processing and approving I130's

[no of approvals / approvals per day = number of adjudicators

[45000/24=1875]

The trend seems to be about a 3 month cycle. As in, for 3 months, everyone gets their hands dirty in the i130's, then majority might go and process some others, leaving only a few for the i130's.

August was a big month, so I guess that means October was the final month for big numbers in the i130 department.'

It would be interesting to know how many non-VJ members are being approved that we don;t know about. Especially for us September filers as there are only a few of us here waiting, and waiting, and waiting

hmmm, well that ended my boredom!

Guess what, I am WACXXXXXXX36 and still in review, 37 not online, 38 review, 42 approved on 22nd of september. We must have fell into the lazy hands. May God save us from this jungle

no news no news...what CSC is doing these days???? processing some other type of cases? like k1's or k3's????

has anyone seen any i130 approval antwhere?????? ugh.

Friends .... check this out.

My receipt number is WACxxxxxxxx74.

I tried some numbers backwards to see where csc has stopped. and the first case which i got as approval was WACxxxxxxxx49.

Post-Decision Activity

On September 22, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

so looks like receipt number wacxxxxx49 was approved almost 2 months ago. I am just 25 cases away. where csc couldnt reach in 2 months, WTH.

comon cscccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc

this whole immigration thing made me half bald.

i am 36, 2 files after 34 and 13 files before 49 so what happened to my file ??? i guess my name is too hard to spell, they make me feel like i got no luck at all. it has been 75 days of hell for me now and it is really getting into me, making me perform poorly in what i am doing. my heart want toburst into fire at times and my eyes just can't take the waters anymore. what am i suppose to do, accept faith and prepare for 75 days more at most even without guarantee, afterall they are the USCIS who can tell them when to adjudicate? goodluck peeple, or should i jst say good wait?

Lolas, you said it yourself in an earlier post. relax and expect the 5 months wait!

Waiter, the MIGHT still process it in order, but maybe the case ending in 34 received an RFE and the adjudicator kept on processing other petitions until the RFE was fixed?
