This is pretty much the standard answer. I think it is a good idea to expect 5 months otherwise one can develop a heart attack. Whatever it is, it seems like the entire process is 8 months if approved between 4 to 5 months at USCIS. That is enough time to have a viable baby.

Well, i am two months gone hopefully by God's grace it will not be longer than 6 months before my hubby can join me here. I remember to breath everyday and thank God with hope.

Hi, I called the IO to check on the status. The categorical response was "Currently it is taking 5 months to process I-130s". Your status is "in-process". This dashed any hopes of an early I-130 approval. I am making my plans to visit India to meet my spouse

Thanks

Man. November is dragging. ####### is CSC doing? Just hand out ONE approval at least. I'm keeping the faith for the 4th week though. Seems like a lot of approvals usually come in. Maybe they have some internal monthly quota, so maybe they rush to get to it at the end of the month and slack off at the beginning?

Ok, short update: I bugged/begged hubby to call since the weekend is coming up and so he did. Haha, he's a darling. Anyway, apparently they keep a call log/record because the lady he spoke to, Jackie or something, mentioned that he'd called a couple of weeks ago to ask the same thing. He said we were just worried and wanted to make sure that the forms are fine and everything was going smoothly. So she reiterated that all our forms are complete and the case is under review (they are verifying the information present on the forms is what she said, when asked to explain what "review" meant) and that we should get our NOA2 soon. Fingers crossed. Hubby also said, he refuses to call them anymore! Oh dear.

She also mentioned that when it gets to be mid November, it's usually a slower time, because a bunch of government workers get time off because of a mix of Veterans' Day and Thanksgiving. People seem to take vacation time around this time. So this might explain the sudden lack of approvals.

Nothing yet from anyone? Bummer. We're tired of the waiting and it's 3 months since we touched each other so we are going to New York for Xmas and NYE. By then it will be nearly 5 months since we kissed. I'm thinking it's going to be at leat April before all this is sorted! So hopefully 2 weeks at Xmas will sustain us enough for the next round of waiting!

I am however, less neurotic. I'm not checking my case status every day but it is bugging me that there is no update considering I had to send the correct sized passport photos. That was over 2 weeks ago. Weird.

Here's hoping someone gets an approval soon ....

OUR JOURNEY SO FAR: (dd/mm/yyyy)

18/09/09 - CR1 NOA1

16/07/10 - POE LAX (256 days NOA1 to interview)

27/09/10 - Aussie/American bun in the oven due May 10, 2011

06/01/11 - Submitted change of address online to USCIS. Mailed I-865 for sponsor. Neverending!

05/05/11 - Bouncing baby boy arrives

10/07/12 - Sent I-751

13/07/12 - I-751 NOA1

has anyone seen any i130 approval antwhere?????? ugh.

Friends .... check this out.

My receipt number is WACxxxxxxxx74.

I tried some numbers backwards to see where csc has stopped. and the first case which i got as approval was WACxxxxxxxx49.

Post-Decision Activity

On September 22, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

so looks like receipt number wacxxxxx49 was approved almost 2 months ago. I am just 25 cases away. where csc couldnt reach in 2 months, WTH.

comon cscccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc

this whole immigration thing made me half bald.

Haha. I've been tempted to count backwards as well. But I think it's safe to say they don't process these things in order. I'm guessing they run background checks as they receive cases and once those are completed, NOA2s are mailed out depending on how quickly that went.

Background checks...

well my background check during my naturalization lasted 4 years. I am sure i was cleared when i got my citizenship. and that was like a year ago.

Now this time my back ground check should take normal time?? or is it again 4 years..? i guess no one can tell. but makes me worried.
