Expedite case due to pregnancy?

Unfortunately pregnancy is not one of the qualifying reasons that they will expedite a case.

Hello all,

I am back in the US but the I-130/ K3 applications are still in process for my wife. Does anyone know if Immigration Dept. would expedite the case if my wife is pregnant in India? Has anyone experienced or heard of this? Please advise....

u can contact yr local field office,get a infopass,go there and explain them yr situation,if they feel yr case needs immediate assistance they will then contact the nbc,or where ever u have filed yr application.and ask them to expedite yr case,i will be going there next week..worth a try.

You can definitely try to expedite this. The USCIS may expedite your case or may not. You can email/fax the California USCIS where they process the I-130. The email is: CSC-XII.130@dhs.gov

Its fax number is: 949-389-3441. You may fax them a letter, along with the NOA-1 (I-797C), and a copy of the pregnancy test result. The expedition is granted on the discretion of the director. Again, they may not expedite your case, but it does not hurt to try. You can take similar approach with NBC for I129F (K-3). But I don't know NBC's email address, fax number (I doubt, anyone knows). Should you decide to request NBC, you can send your request via postal mail.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

My case wasn't expedited quickly I sent emails, letters, and had many phone conversations with everyone I could think of. Hubby arrived 3 months after the birth.

12-10-04 NOA 1 fee changed had to resend info with new fee

12-11-04 Resend case with new fee

02-25-05 NVC received case

03-21-05 Received I-864 fee bill

03-22-05 Sent $70 I-864 payment to

04-16-05 Received IV fee bill
