I see your point Booyah and agree that stats say that there are LOTS of people in the US illegally. It is a problem and a problem that needs to be dealt with as well. In my opinion, the US should do what Brazil just did.....another amnesty. Make them all legal and move on.

Actually, my intention was not about the Illegal pervert. as you point out we have plenty of our own.

I did want to point out the foolishness of of Sanctuary Cities and the risk they import to their community.

Many illegals use false names and false ID, it just comes with the territory when you are living illegally in a country. This creates a huge problem for police to track these people in general and the "most wanted" criminals in specific. Putting up a "Sanctuary City" shingle draws both the good and the bad to your community.

I've made no attempt to tarnish illegals in general with this type of crime, this is a case of one evil person who is flying under the radar due to his status and who might have been attracted to this town because of the welcome mat laid out in a political decision.

Even for little crimes the police should be able to investigate if the person is an illegal. They are police and supposed to investigate crime and being an illegal is a crime. If you are told this in a sanctuary city and no questions asked then why not just tell the police to investigate major crimes and let all minor crimes be uninvestigated. Then we can debate what are major or minor crimes are worth pursuing. Before sanctuary cities came into being illegals knew they had to be very careful to draw attention to themselves and walk lightly but now they don't even have to be very careful.

I hear the exact same robotic response to every similar incident posted. America's responsibility lies solely at protecting Americans. Not to being PC and feeding the poor of South America. That is their problem.

While you guys pretend you are shocked, you constantly condone illegal immigration and basically turn a eye to their behavior. That is not acceptable. I never let my own bias or personal opinion towards something stand in the way of what it right and what is wrong. Sure the perpetrator could have been American and done the same thing but, once again, he was not. Therefore, screening of such immigrants could have prevented this. hence the point of legal immigration and being on your best behavior in the first place

What is hypocritical is that some of you will scorn someone exercising his second amendment right and carrying a weapon but will turn a blind eye to the actions or negligence of those who are not even suppose to or permitted to be here. On this issues, I will ask the minority that are pro illegal aliens, is the rest of the developed world wrong on this issue, that is to crack down on it, or are the pro freedom for illegal aliens group correct. Someone is wrong.

What I would like to know is what percentage of those charged with a felony are legal aliens and what are illegal aliens? What percentage are related to the last amnesty. All I see is a bunch of smoke and mirrors on a serious issue and the use of racism and stereotyping accusations to condone the behavior. Even more pathetic is the well Americans do it too rhetoric; as if this justifies it. Go to any other civilized country and use the same excuse and just wait and see their response to that. Even A judge would probably knock the person saying it out. Or have them arrested on grounds of being an utter delusional idiot.

I'd agree with this to an extent...I'm not sure why police can not simply pass a DUI offender to a deportation hearing. At the same I would not invite the police to actively stop suspected illegal immigrants when no crime is committed.

I'd agree with this to an extent...I'm not sure why police can not simply pass a DUI offender to a deportation hearing. At the same I would not invite the police to actively stop suspected illegal immigrants when no crime is committed.

The police should not question someone's status unless they are arrested but ICE should have the authority to randomly investigate an employer or job site and ask for identification.

The only time the police should be allowed to ask for someone's ID is when they are in an area known for illegal immigration and they are loitering. I did notice that the ALCU is trying to stop police from doing that too.

It's a bloody joke the legal immigrants are on their best behavior, for obvious reasons, and can rightfully be deported for a crime. Yet at the same time illegal aliens are free to roam and re-offend. Why am I wasting my time and having spent thousand of $$$ to come here when there are those who are basically encouraged to beat the system. Furthermore, they receive sympathy and even support; regardless of the reality that they make up to a third of the prisoners in numerous prisons. How many other developed countries would tolerate this?
