so today was our interview in Detroit we waited 2 hours and the interview was 10 mins long ! they asked us few questions and approved it. i jus want to say thanks to everyone who helped with our crazy questions. we passed this interview with flying colors despite the fact my husband had a police caution for theft and we married on vwp so anything is possible ! we will say that if you have interview in Detroit that the Omni Hotel was great ! we took the train into Detroit night before they shuttle you for free where ever you want or need to go , you have a great view of Canada so props to Omni . we had a good lawyer in case anyone needs one :) anyway after our long journey we are glad to say we are done. i know that people say marrying on a whim instead of going through visa's is wrong but for us we had no problems they never questioned us about it (not saying people should do it this way ) but it is possible ! thanks so much

07/17/09 - Biometrics Completed [ Completed in 17 Days ]

08/12/09 - EAD APPROVED! Card Ordered! [Approved in 47 Days]

08/20/09 - Interview notice arrived dated 08/18/09 - Sept 24th/09

08/21/09 - Got EAD Card in the mail!! :D

09/24/09 - Interview Date: 9:00am - APPROVED

10/03/09 -Received GC!!!!!

Total Days from NOA1 to Approval : 86 Days

ROC:

04/01/11 - Preparing for ROC currently

06/27/11 - ROC Mailed!

07/02/11 - NOA1 Arrived [dated 06/30/11]

07/13/11 - Biometrics letter arrived [08/01/11]

10/31/11 - Final Approval!

11/04/11 - Received new card today.

Total Days from NOA1 to Approval: 125 Days

Next Step will be citizenship in June 2012!

07/19/09 Biometrics letter received, appointment set for 07-28-09

07/23/09 Early Biometrics appointment (walk-in) at USCIS Goleta, CA office

07/29/09 Received Notice of Interview Date, set for September 01, 2009 in Los Angeles

08/31/09 Received AP (two of them)

09/01/09 Interview in Los Angeles - APPROVED! Yay! Card production ordered

09/05/09 EAD received

09/12/09 Green card received in the mail!

Start to Finish only 76 days!

06/06/11 Mailed I-751 Package to California USCIS

06/09/11 First NOA for I-751

08/05/11 Biometrics appointment at USCIS Oxnard, CA office

10/19/11 Received email and text that card production was ordered

10/20/11 Received email and text that application had been approved

10/25/11 Received NOA in mail regarding approval and card production ordered

10/26/11 Received Green Card in the mail!
