Hi, we just got our Notice of Action today from filing our I-130 about two weeks ago. All it states is that they have received our petition and nothing more. I am the natural born citizen and my husband is the benefiaciary. I know that I'm suppose to wait form something in the mail to see if we got approved or denied (fingers crossed). Our petition is being processed in California, which I am hoping is a good thing. My husband and I have been been married for five years (together for seven years) and we have four beautiful children (L) . Currently he is the only one employed and I am a full time student. We are trying to do this ourselves being that we obviously can't afford a lawyer. I have heard that since he came into the U.S. without inspection that we cannot file the I-485, is this true??? If so what are our options, that is if we have any? Our family thank God is very healthy, so I imagine that we can't file for a waiver. Does he have to voluntarily leave any time soon? I guess I just want to know what to expect so we are not caught off guard.

I am so glad I found this site and all input is very much appreciated.Thanks.

Hi Isabel. Welcome to VJ. :) What visa are you filing for so we can move your thread to the correct forum?

Sorry, I can't to seem to do what I want with this forum. We just received our first NOA and was wondering about the filing of Adjustment of Status since my husband is here illegally and how to go about that.
